I'm yoruba Christian.
IGBOS give block votes unlike yorubas who don't IGBOS know what they want and stand for it I wish we yorubas could learn from them.
IGBOS supported obasonjo he won, IGBOS supported abiola he won and was killed by Hausa and Yoruba Moslems, they supported yaradua he won, IGBOS supported JEG he won.

Without IGBOS this country would have been in a Mess, that's why I don't want them to get biafra else Nigeria will be in a Mess,.

IGBOS very wonderful people.
how did d Yoruba Muslims killed abiola, explain please

SamNaijaboy:
LOL...
Let's wait till 2023 please...
They can contest all they want. As long as they don't get the PDP and the APC tickets.
Because those are coming down south.
And should both not come down south, they can rule over a balkanized Nigeria.
The Yoruba will only agree to stay in Nigeria if a Southerner is president after the 8 years of the north.
Anything else and we will leave.
And since we are the glue that holds Nigeria together, everyone else will leave.
We prefer to be beaten to the post by another Southerner than have another Northerner there.
If you are from the North, perish those thoughts. Na your Southern oil block you dey play with so.
I guess this is a way for the SE to try to achieve Biafra. Hoping the North makes the mistake to try to keep it for themselves knowing Yoruba will revolt.
But the Northerners are smarter than you give them credit for. Greed to hold on to the presidency will break the country. Fact! They won't even try it
They will do it and nothing will happen. Infact, all they need to do is to gather the support of a few strategic Yoruba backstabbers leaders and the deal is sealed.
Knowing the yorubas, this won't be difficult

Glad we still have pragmatically intelligent posters here. Only the cowardly Igbos who deem themselves conquered and second class now shout of Northern Presidency in 2023.

I said same as you in another post. Yoruba know their worth to Nigeria and we are very confident in the superiority of what we bring to the Nigerian table which is more valuable than what others contribute.

I dare the North to try gain a monopoly on the Presidency to then wait for the reaction of the Yorubas against what they will see as fundamentally unfair and unacceptable given their steadfast support of the cause of equitable politics where one good turn deserves another. Let the North go against this. We will see. Yoruba aint noisemakers like the Igbos who chest-beat but cannot ever back it.

Once the North signal they want to be unfair and are happy to truncate the ethos of equitable sharing of power we will see the real political strength of the SW. Personally I don't mind if the North does this. Take power-sharing off the table and see the only region capable of whipping the North to order (SW) demand and get regional independence.

The SW will not be a part of Nigeria where it is clear we cannot produce the President. That is for others who feel and are happy to be second class to accept. Not the Yorubas.
God bless u, the fact u said we are not noise makers like some people that chest beat

See, this matter no hard at all . Igbos should be able to get PDP ticket, having slaved for that party since 1999. After which they will face APC Presidential candidate (whoever emerge the primaries winner) in a General Election.
Very simple.

Obviously, that's what Tinubu is aiming at. But his chances don't look too good, although it is too soon to tell. Alot can happen within 4 years. Osinbajo on the other hand seems incapable of making informed decisions, unless he is relying on the cabals to continue from where they left off with Buhari.
I'm not holding brief for the VP but the man is not weak. He can handle the myriad and complex situation of this country. He is bidding his time so as not to appear greedy and turn the tide against him. Also he is incapacitated by the cabal.
Remember the decisive steps he took when the dullard was away

They can but they rejected the last one and gave d northerners. You see, this people believe they cannot win even though they contest...so they're voting based on hatred. YORUBA will get the PDP ticket my friend.

Igbo will run from any Yoruba candidate or Hausa candidate like they did when the PDP zoned precedency to the in 2018. They were looking for FULANI to enslave them by fire by force.

They cannot even contest against an Edo man or Urobo man

I learnt that Ojukwu scored only 3 votes in Bayelsa State during the 2007 Presidential election. What do you think makes them repulsive to other Nigerians like that?

Nuhu Ribadu is being primed by APC to take over in 2023. The anti-corruption aura seems to work magic, it did for buhari, it will be replicated for Ribadu - being the first ever chairman of the EFCC.
The northeast hasn't ruled since Tafawa Balewa, so, the agitation in the north is for them to have it.
Atiku (also from the northeast) knows that your chances are brighter just after narrowly missing out, he will build on the popularity from 2019 elections.
Buhari's ambition since the dawn of the 4th republic was to galvanize northern support such that under the present simple majority system, given the huge northern VOTING population, you really don't need the south to be president... Either by manipulation or otherwise, the figures from the 2019 presidential elections show he has finally achieved that.
APC and PDP have both recognized this and neither wants to be in a disadvantaged position by fielding a southerner.. Cos the north will always vote for the north.
After Ribadu's second term in 2031, the northcentral will have it's turn- by northcentral I mean a northern Muslim from Niger, Nassarawa or Plateau.
After that person's 2nd term in 2039, it goes back to the northwest, and so on...

They know they can't be president, so they are licking fulani ass and telling them to continuing being president.

They can't Contest with Yoruba for presidency, they know Yoruba will beat them black and blue, instead, they are playing the game of ; if I can't av it, no one will.

What an inferior people, they av been slaves to PDP since 1999, even North has drifted, likewise SW, but the PDP still did not considered them good enough for presidency despite their slavery and servitude to PDP. SMH!

Shut up you fool. I am happy to talk and leave Igbos out of issues as I deem you a conquered people happy to trade and seek ego(money) while not minding being third class, dismissed and irrelevant politically. I will never talk of Igbos in Nigerian politics if, and this is a big if, Igbos don't go around shouting on NL and over the Internet they are happy to work for Northern 2023 Presidency as long as this prevents Yorubas getting it.
o you realise how your people sound? You are like a man who is saying with pride he is impotent yet is happy if his poor neighbour rapes his wife rather than the rich arrogant neighbour who never says good morning.
You Igbos forget the central point which is that rape of any woman by anyone(Nigeria and the North in this case) is not acceptable . We Yorubas know the North is important but we also understand Nigeria is not their property and we are supremely confident in our worth to Nigeria. Big difference in how we think.
[/s]

You're a despicable stark illiterate.

You want to talk about people living under servitude? Not even an inch of Igbo land is under the control of a fulani Emir. Heck, Dahomey Amazons invaded your homes and castrated your men for cowardice. Igbos are third class yet, not an inch of their lands is placed under the control of external forces. Same can't be said about your Yoruba folks.

I don't ever want to see you associating Yorubas with bravery. Cowardice is Yoruba and, Yoruba is cowardice. And yes, if the presidency doesn't come to the Igbos then, it would rather go to the north. Y'all will learn the hard way. You're supreme confidence about your potentials yet, you've never attempt to put it to display by agitating for a country of your own. The last time you intended to attempt, Babangida crushed your market women riot with a platoon of soldiers, having y'all running in a different directions facing Ile ife, looooooool.

Face your impoverished people and, leave Igbos out of your miseries.

Nwanne, Igbo votes are the most useless in West Africa. They are not enough to elect a mere class captain not to talk of a president.

Igbos supported Jonathan, he lost. Igbos didn't support Buhari, he won. Igbos supported Atiku, what happened?

See, the SW and SS would support Osinbajo, sensible Igbos would follow suit. Those efulefus in Ipob can go vote anyone they like, not that their votes are useful anyway.

That's when you would realise that the politics of hate that we Igbos are playing is eternal stupidity.
Delutional rants from a yoruba dude with at least 12 different handles on Nairaland, many of whom have been banned for breaking Nairaland rules..

Keep fooling yourself, anyone but oyorobbers will vote osinbade or any yoruba politician in 2023.

Another impoverished stark illiterate Ofe mmanu.

Mooron, your most talked about political relevance came started only in 2003. Igbos had produced a president, vice president, Senate president and, speaker of the house of representatives while, you had none at that time.

And, Yorubas threatened and attempted secession. However, the cowardice traits of an average Yorubas came into play. Your market women June 12 riot was subdued and crashed by a platoon of soldiers within 30 minutes - this had many cowardly offes running in different directions, facing Ile ife as usual. It required the assistance of Britian and Russians pilots to capture an inch Igbo land during the civil war. The Yoruba nation would have gone into extinction had Babangida sent a battalion of soldiers during your June 12 mini women riots.
