I've never eaten a snake and I NEVER WILL
because of what I've seen on Discovery
Channel's Predators Gone Wild.

Those animals have killed people and other
animals as well. I've seen a cobra kill a male
lion on Nat Geo Wild.

Cobra is a venomous snake, not poisonous.

Hence, you can eat the eggs o, head o, you can even drink the venom.


Your body will digest it just as any other protein.

Venoms are lethal when they are injected. When they are ingested they become food. What you should be particular about is pathogens and bacterias that may be drug resistant and may eventually cause death.

Anytime a venomous snake is being killed for the cook the head is chopped off entirely and not included in the pot, but the eggs still contains the full form of a snake, the venom of a baby snake is as potent as an adult snake......hope you catch my drift?

I wouldn't advice eating the internals, but in Africa we cooking our meat at high heat, I doubt any of those pathogens or parasite will survive ..It's more applicable to Oyibo who eat there meat cooked medium rare ( blood with blood still in it)

Thanks for adding more illumination to your info on the deadly
nature of the pathogens in snake entrails. Imagine that!
Gosh... pathogens that need INTENSE HEAT to kill them
in boiling water.

There are many people who love smoked and fresh snake pepper
soup in areas in Nigeria... such as Lagos where they are specially
prepared based on what I read 4 years ago. They will need to
be careful! I will never eat snakes but will enlighten those who
intend or love to eat this snake meat to be at alert!

If you read my ORIGINAL POST VERY well, I said I watched the documentary
on Discovery Channel and this was a few years back! It was on Cable TV, NOT
on YouTube. I was very CLEAR about that... and NEVER planned to "waste"
your data or that of anybody else!


I did NOT post any misleading information or ANY YouTube
video on a cobra killing a lion. Again, I was very clear that
this was on Discovery Channel where the snake venom that
killed the lion WITHIN one hour of the encounter between
the two animals.


I only added those 3 YouTube videos as an additional source of information
on how much I personally hate snakes, crocodiles, and lions because they kill
humans and even animals such as giraffes and elephants in the African game
reserves which are protected areas.

PS. I will still carry out an advanced Internet search and
see if Discovery Channel uploaded that particular documentary
online and post it on NL for you and everyone. If not, then
we just will have to leave it at that!

Cobra is a poisonous snake,u shouldn't attempt to eat it,you will eat the poison along with the snake no matter how you cook it
