You did say a lot of things out of context.

You need to read slowly to understand what you lifted from Google. Then maybe you'll be less confused yourself.

Sewasaunt even broke it down to you but you still don't get it. Do you? [/quote

Please sweetheart leave this guy,if you follow his matter up anger will ruin your day..if truly he is a medical doctor,he is a disgrace to the institution that trained him.

In this interview, I spoke about endometriosis and its effect on women and their marriages. Read more: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2019/03/many-marriages-have-crashed-due-to-endometriosis-dr-ajayi/

Thanx for your response. I really do not know the test he did. He collected my blood and when i went back for the result, he then told me its endometroisis

Thank you. I have read the article and am worried how the doctor came about the endometrosis by just taking my blood samples. May God safe us from fake doctors

I'll assume that by TCS you mean salpingostomy. I'll answer based on that.

In medicine, there's what we call risk:benefit ratio. No doctor will opt for salpingostomy in this case because:

1. It will put the patient at a high risk of ectopic pregnancy.

2. It is common for scar tissue to regrow after a salpingostomy, reblocking the tube. And in hydrosalpinx, there's high probability that the fluid will build up once more.

So what exactly has been gained if either of the two happens?

You have only wasted money, time and effort of the patient. You have also exposed the patient to more risks which could be fatal in case of ectopic.

And that makes you a very bad doctor.

Because if you ever passed through medical school, you'd understand certain basics of pharmacoeconomics (where you opt for the cheaper yet beneficial management plan for the patient based on socioeconomic status) and also deontology aka medical ethics where you're taught Primum non nocere i.e "First, do no harm."

Stop relying on Google to feed your imposter self. It will confuse you and make you look silly at the end.

Remember, if google could make one a doctor then there would be no need for medical training. undecided
Happy Sunday!
First of all I must tell, you are constructive in your ideas and I understand every idea of pharmaeconomics in this very country of ours. You seem to have avoided the initiative that that on presentation with a case of this such one just zero down to removing the tube(salpingectomy).
Do you want to tell me if all cases of hydrosalpinx is being brought to you as a doctor the only choice on observance is to think of removing the tube?

Please, you really have to answer me on this one as to know your point of reasoning.

This is because not in all cases I supposed as a medical doctor to advise tube removal for hydrosalpinx. Other choice have to be exploited especially if the woman and her husband agrees to. It is always a matter of, "let us try if this can work". If the available is not turning out as expected then we have no choice than to remove the tube, it is so simple!

You are using the 9ja clinic scene in judging wider general medicine. When you must have done all you can, you still have to carry normal management and several HSG within stipulated time interval to see how far it's gone.

In medicine anything can happen, the field is full of choices sometimes but could sometime be only one way.

Google this! Google that! I have with me all the necessary medical text I can peruse as I like. If I should be counting, I have atmost six books on O and G...

Did you even read what I write up there, you just want to show good face?

Clinic reality is far from the expected. You think it is easy to hear a tube of yours is to be removed?
What if that woman you are dealing with has had a tube of hers removed before now and she is threatened to have the other removed?

But you called her aside and gave her a glimpse of hope that instead of removing this tube, let's try if we can repair it and manage it for you to carry pregnancy.
Do you know how much a service you have done for her?

Oga 2Ballz please take a bow.
Try and leave this thread with what's left of your dignity.

A lot of mama's don't want you here obviously, why struggling the more and disturbing this thread? We have a lot to think about are you that inconsiderate?
Even those that were listening to you before or considering your services will not do so anymore after these antics.

Or are you also Trying/Waiting to conceive?
Oga plz go naaa sad

Thanks to all mamas that calmed my nerves yesterday when my life seemed to crumble. I'm really grateful. May the presence of God never elude u and ur family. Amen. Sisters, u all are amazing. I'm truly overwhelmed by the love, concern and kindness of mamas in this thread. wipe your tears dear...God is in control ....is possible the fibroid is blocking the tubes ...from the tvs...was the fibroid distorting your uterus ? ...was it submucosal or large intramural? ...cos most times these two blocks the passage of sperm to the tubes ..and the dye can't spill....I think you should remove the fibroid if your gynecologist says you should...then go for flushing...sometimes fibroid serves as a mechanical barrier during flushing

According to TVS, there're 3 multiple intramural and submucous fibroids measuring 33x34mm, 58x65mm and 26x31 respectively.
Hubby is afraid of surgery and d cost involved. I even heard dat flushing is costly too. We managed to gather money for TVS, HSG, HOMONAL TEST & SFA. Where will person get such money again?
We're still deliberating on what to do.

Started seeing ewcm yesterday on CD12 and na so I ignore d thing sef. How can one bd when the tubes are blocked?
Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by queenpls(f): 1:32pm On Mar 24, 2019
@tripletwins ....like a mama said ...a problem known is half solved ...there is a chance that the intramural and submucosal fibroid are blocking the tubes...but it can only be confirm by a gynecologist....going for flushing it's ok but assuming the fibroid is the barrier then I fear the flushing might likely not work ....since hubby isn't too ok with the surgery and cost is also a factor ...then you could try herbs ...some mamas has testify to using herbs ...the problem is knowing the genuine ones ...and you have to be patient because it takes time for it to shrink the fibroid ....but above all there is nothing God can't do ....he steps in when we least expect it ...

Im truly sorry for the result of your hsg but mama you ones said here that you have spiritual problems and you have tried so many things medically. There was a time I posted a link about an online deliverance here for you but u don't know if you check it out. The spiritual controls the physical my sister, I can boldly tell you from experience that absolutely nothing is blocking your womb and that is not fibroids. If you are still interested I can repost the link for you here again. Don allow demons to waste your time. Lol...

I wasn't exchanging any banter with you. Why should I?
If you're a medic, you will understand that it is normal to have divergency in ideas and how we share them.
It is a fallacy to have me called an impostor when you should have equally answered a question thrown before you.
I want you to understand that the clinical scene is far more a reality than just the medical text.

I want you to understand as well that most women holding champ with you on calling me names are yet to have any of their tube occluded. I am very sure that if I should pick 3 out of 5 from here assuming to suffer hydrosalpinx, they will neither agree to putting in for salpingectomy(tube removal). But for the sake of diplomacy they will agree with you. When most of them will find themselves in such a mess they will come to understand my side view. They will also understand it is easily said than done. Quote me anywhere, on presentation with such a case to a surgeon except on severity salpingectomy is never the first opinion especially if she has had one of the tubes removed or she is not fit for IVF. Yet she is young and active.

Further still, regarding risk/benefit ratio is a normal thing to taking consent from patient. It is something a doctor makes available to a patient and she is dwelt to make fitting choices after proper elucidation, the cons and pros are well spelt and skirted. If she is okay to have it done, then the consent will be registered and signed in. Even the IVF on which promise and indication for a tube removal is worth has it risk/benefit ratio. We have seen cases where a woman loses pregnancy three times for the number of times she tried IVF. It happens but does not actually make its useless or not worth trying. Or, haven't we seen women coming up with one complaint or the other after a failed or successful IVF-pregnancy? These things happen daily but that does not actually mean it should be overlooked. It is always a matter of "let's us try " and through this we have done lot more in medicine.

With this I rest my case.

Mama's please I need your help on thsi. I do see mucus on 8th day of my period have noticed it for past 3 menstration one white mucus and another white mucus second day I cant actually differenciate them if I use hand to check it will draw and after that I won't see that white mucus again till next month the same time so am confused I don't know if it ovulation or not. Please I need your advise
Just BD minimum of 3 times a week and you'll be covered. BD more if your DH does not have Male Infertility issues. Checking your CM can be stressful and add undue pressure. You can do some stuff to improve CM. That's my own opinion. Cheers and Baby Dust.

Good morning mama, pls ma what is the difference between pelvic scan and tvs. Can both serve the same purpose?

Good afternoon mama, just seeing this.

They're both forms of ultrasound.

TVS means a Transvaginal scan..... in which a slim rod-like transducer will be passed into the vagina to view the organs in the female pelvic region.

Pelvic Scan on the other hand is done externally. The transducer is placed on the pelvis (lower abdomen).

The difference is that:

1) TVS often produces more detailed and clearer images than the external pelvic ultrasound. This is because the transducer is placed in the vagina and that makes it closer to the internal pelvic structures.

2) TVS doesn’t require a full bladder. So you won't be asked to drink water and hold your pee before scan.

Your radiologist can opt to use either based on a number of factors:

1) Availability
2) Patient status eg TVS is not encouraged in virgins except highly necessary. In that case, a consent form will be required.
3) The best suitable for the particular organ your doctor is trying to view.

Cheers!
