I remember two years ago, one of my street friend(Confirm Street guy) came to visit me, and I needed a new phone, after sales I told him to let us walk together to the Railway at Pen cinema, some guys usually display phones for sale.

Na so we reach there, dey check phone and comparing the price. Not knowing the scammer guys were looking at us. So we decided to leave, the guy walked up to us and said he has a phone for us. A big phone oooo. To cut the long story, Alaye swap paper with money for us and ran away. My friend was furious, that in his own abete, they did gbaju e for him.

I jejely told mum there was not sales that day, withdraw little cash cos I didnt give him all the money, since then, anything phone, I go to an established and known retail seller.

don't mind d them. how can someone suffer to gather 35k for months and suddenly got carried away at computer village just because one riffraff present fake apple phone or so, why not go for new infinix, tecno or itel within that price in a recognise shop?

I would never buy any device, be it phone or any other electronic device without unboxing and testing it right there. If you don't allow me do that, keep your stuff and I keep my money

They are not there to sell that phone to anyone but to defraud the person.The rules is that don't get distracted by any means because that is the easiest way to fall prey.
Before you return the phone ask the fraudster to count the money while you are watching it and make sure it is complete.

One road side hustler block me when I dropped off from Keke napep on my first visit for alaba market wey i go buy tokumbo flat screen.I no gree follow this guy until he pester me.I just decide to give him a try.Na so I followed this guy enter corner corner shops.Alaba market big no be small.Na so we reach one shop wey flat screen plenty some dey work while some dem package empty screen with carton inside come wrap am with transparent nylon.After I bargained with the seller,not the guy I met by the road side,though they are accomplice.The amount was cheaper than the actual price.#22k for 32inch flat screen sharp HD tv.So I say make he write receipt before I go pay.He did and he asked his boy to take me where I go test am.This flat screen dey work before I bargained.So wetin him wan go test again.I settle the road side guy #5H I come dey follow the shop owner boy like munu dey go.One time I stop am tell am say make he give me the TV say I go carry am go like that.Na so we start to drag for inside market.I hold the TV I no let the guy move with am dey shout join.Another guy block me say him no sell again.He count my money give me.I say make he count am first before I go release the TV.He count am and the money dey short of #1500.I tell am say if he no complete my money I no go release the TV back.Eventually he counted and complete it.I collect my money and release the TV and receipt.Dem for carry me go one coded corner and beat me if to say I no wise up.I fear alaba Ibo boys.

I worked at computer village for a year.

My advice for buying phones: Go to Micro station, 3C hub or SLOT first.

Micro station is often the cheapest source for the kind of phones they carry as they supply most shops in the village.

I once bought one rubbish android phone on a road side shop for 15k for someone with begging. The very next day, I entered Micro station and found something far better with a 4 day battery life for less than 10k.

Na wa o...how come she didn't open the phone. Even when you buy in trusted stores like Slot and 3C hub, they open in your presence talk more of computer village. Anyway, what has happened has happened, better luck next time.
