Legend Diego Maradona has slammed Argentina's national team players after Friday's 3-1 loss against Venezuela.

Goals from Salomon Rondon, Jhon Murillo and Josef Martinez saw La Albiceleste suffer defeat at the Wanda Metropolitano.

And Maradona was heated in his response when asked if he had watched the game.

"No I didn't see the Argentina game, I don't watch horror movies," the current Dorados manager stated.

"The inept people who will govern the national team, did they think they were going to beat Venezuela? They are a good team.

"Argentina entered through the window, not even through the door because they betray and lie to people all the time. I'm sorry but they won't win games.

"I feel very Argentine but I feel with other coaches and players like Ruggeri, Batista, Giusti, Pumpido, Caniggia it would be different."

Maradona had his chance to coach the team but he failed and that was even a better team than what Argentina has now. No one says maradona shouldn't constructively criticize his team but his ranting and wailing this days spells something more. It is either he wants the coach job or he wants attention or he is jealous of Messi.
