I have actually had light for almost 24hrs for about 6 days so far. Sorry for those who find the comments far fetched, I hope it gets to them soon.

That you have light for almost 24 hours in your street doesn't mean same can be said about your state. How can a state possibly have 24 hours of power in the same country where rotation and rationing are the order? I'm sure you have friends in your town/city, please call them to confirm the state of power in their house before you even talk about local government or state.

Power distribution in each local government in Nigeria has always been haphazard. It is f00lishness to think a state in Nigeria can enjoy 24 hours of electricity. We should start from street levels where the inferior transformers exist, before we talk about local councils, local government, state, and the nation as a whole.

Some streets may enjoy electricity 24/7 based on their proximity with power plants and industries, but no town in Nigeria can boast of that feat. The Minister of Power was probably drunk when he made that statement.

In my area, electricity supply has greatly improved. We can still boast of over 12 hours supply daily.

Are those areas not under states? Why do we like to shop for bad news in our country while dismissing good news? In all sincerity would say that electricity supply has not improved?

Under PDP, where there no areas with constant light??

If u don't know, I do know areas that always enjoyed light under GEJ. So its not new.

When we say GHANA enjoys 24/7 light...it means every(or majority) region in Ghana enjoy it. If in Ghana now, only Accra and Kumasi enjoy 24/7 light, will people be saying GHANA has 24/7 light??

Since I was little till now, there has always been some areas in PH dat enjoy light...so then if its area we mean, what's new then??

And about ur question on improved electricity supply, I throw it back to u, has it?? Abuja residents and so many other states are still complaining. So u tell me, if u say it has, I won't argue.

This is a good reasoning because you laid emphasis on "your area", not " my town", my local government or, like the drunk Minister, some States.

Why are u sounding like this na.....u know very well area is different. Him saying states makes it look like there are actually states where there is light everywhere for almost 24hrs.

Lemme give u an example. In Rivers State, there are 23 LGAs, if someone says Rivers State has 24hrs light, what do they mean?? It means the whole of Rivers State enjoy 24hrs light. Let's not try to defend the statement. He could have said some areas enjoy 24hrs light, but he used state.

Under every government there has always been some areas that enjoy light. So what point was he trying make then?? If under every government some areas enjoy light and in this government some areas enjoy light too, why was he trying to praise himself, when its a normal thing...but that's not what he did, he wanted to make it seem as though under him, STATES as a whole, not areas as usual enjoy light, to make it look like APC is doing better.

I've seen all the comments of those that agree. All I see is, "I agree, in my AREA, we now have light", is ur area not in a state?? Does ur state as a whole have light like he said??....someone said Oshogbo has light, Ikeja has light...is oshogbo a state?? Is Ikeja a state?? If out of 100 areas in a state 10 have constant light, does the state have constant light??

Ok, under GEJ, I can name 5 areas that had constant light in PH...if its area we want to be calling.

Alright, did you watch the interview? He mentioned the state(s).
I'm expecting someone from Bornu or those other places to refute him and tell us they never complained of having 24hrs power supply because of the bill

Civil Servants = N600 daily.

because we hate truth...that is why we are backward as a people and a nation..
the big question al the useless accusers need to ask themselves if they ever have
conscience...is, has light in Nigeria not improved from what it was 10 or 5..yrs ago?

Fasola has once again in 3-yrs proved that he can rule Nigeria successfully if given
opportunity like he did in Lagos...since Nigeria politicize everything does not have the culture of appreciating
anyone when he or she is alive, the minister have taken the bull by the horn...like the lizard that fell from the iroko tree!

What Fashiola said is absolutely correct. Where I live with my family at Independence layout Enugu state, we hardly remember the last time they take light. We stay for days without having our light taken for once. But because of the old order under PDP, people who are not in areas where it is happening find it difficult to believe.
So the whole of enugu state have light. He said state not layout.

Nigeria should opt for advanced power generation solution that are used in abroad. Depending on hydro alone cannot solve our problem. Enough of generator sets everywhere.
we can use coal. That can power the steam engines which eventually drives the turbine.

Before now, our electricity supply was really epileptic. We were barely having electricity for total of 2 hours in a week. It was that bad. So, this is like a good change from the norm for us. We are still hopeful we will get the almost 24 hours Mr Minister talked about in those "states".

Re: Some States Have Almost 24 Hours Supply- Fashola (video) by princejenks(m): 12:07pm On Mar 28, 2019
The fact is that there are some parts of the country that have always enjoyed constant power from way back, even before this administration came into power so if power output increases, such places can actually boast of 24hr power supply but that shouldn't be used as a yardstick to measure whether power supply has improved generally across the country, rather, areas which hitherto are having less than 5 hrs power supply in a day but can now boast of 12-15hrs is where we should be looking at to rate this government for any improvement in power and not looking at regions that have always enjoyed constant power supply.
