Best 43' at lowest price (ie below 100k) is Hisense
Add a few to get LG (beware of fake LG)

Make sure it is LED Screen not LCD (a bit bulky at the back)
I would advise don't go for Plasma, it has rich colors though but consumes relatively more power

Nope, just the brand name

Most tech you see Samsung, Sony, LG and the rest splashing on adverts are mostly on their high end TV with price tag starting from 250k, every other LED TV below 100k are basically the same.

Hisense has LG warranty cover, skyrun, Haier thermocool are good but I don't know about their warranty.
Polyster is good if you just want a TV

Op stick to LG but be sure its original. I've been using LG TV's for over 8 years without a single complain. Works perfectly on low voltage and I've never ever used power surge.

Trust Tcl is good a friend has one(Crisp display) but I don't know about warranty, I use skyrun 32 in my room (Best display like Lg) and warranty in nigeria is sure.Their 43 should be less than 100k, I have bruhm 32 in a room too. There 43 is less than 100k. I also have a Polystar 32 too Premium display like my skyrun I think there 43 is less than 100k.

Note all this 43 or 42inch tv mentioned above are just Led and not smart tvs......

I don't buy tvs base on brand name.

I always like trying new brands...

If you go with this established brands you will end up spending much money.

When I bought a 32inch Hisense tv in 2015 I bought it for 34-36k in Benin.

But now Hisense is now an established brand, and prices are going higher.

Tokunboh cos u can't get a good new 43" TV @ 100k. My guy once bought one new lg @ 105 but the graphics n color quality is very poor which suggest it's b fake.

Buy a Hisense. It's the company you used to know as SHARP back in the day

Thanks all for your suggestions. I appreciate it. I saw LG for 105k and another for 120k. I finally went for 43" TCL @95k. The display ain't bad especially with a 1020p video. The LG abt same quality with just 1 usb n 1hdmi was 108k. I decided to save some change. The TCL has 1yr warranty and they assured me the service center is very active. Thanks all

Seems I couldn't really get my target. My star times channels ain't really clear as I expected. Seems the TV got a resolution of
1366*768 and not 1920*1080 as expected.

pls Is there anyway I can improve the pix quality cos when they played it at the shop, the display was extra cripsy. But now, I ain't too comfortable with it as it ain't as sharp as I wanted.

The problem is not your TV its your star times.

You need 1080p HD content to really bring out the beauty of the display...

And I don't think star times has that .

You requires a HD decoder for that..

DSTV or Kwese would do the job..

What about GOTv

Gotv HD decoder is no longer in the market. Unless u get from someone that has old stock but it will be more expensive than the ordinary decoder. Multichoice wants you to switch to dstv if u need HD quality. U can really enjoy HD clearity more on HD channels which are only available on dstv

I think jumia is a good place to get TCL. Most official Samsung shop sells TCL cos it's the same company that markets both products in Nigeria. I hope this helps

Mine on the 8th year now but developed stubborn board problem that makes me want to sell it for a Hisense 43 TV.
