Another inspiring flick depicting the greatness a man can achieve if he truly sets his mind & heart to that which he wants. I was fortunate enough to read THINK BIG & GIFTED HANDS by Dr Ben Carson & I think the choice of Cuba Gooding Jr as Dr Ben Carson was the right one, the dude simply played that role to perfection. Truly nobody is born dumb or stupid & others impression about you don't matter, what matters is what you think of yourself.

I thought the film will be very entertaining, at least from purely MMA perspective... I was wrong. Everything about the movie sucked, the plot line, or rather the non-non-existent plot line, the fight scenes, the acting, the cinematography, the editing. In fact, it's a proper low budget B flick. I got especially annoyed watching Uwais character beaten to a pulp by the aging Jai White character, although I gotta admit, Jai white had better technic. I'd take wushu over taekwendo any day.

Lol, yeah like literally the mongolism etc. But my reference wasn't to them, its for the healthy sane mind who struggled/are struggling to find their path in life, same way Ben, & many other average mind out there struggled/are struggling & strive/striving for greatness, provided they are equipped with the right motivation.

During my TP days i noticed that most average students ain't stupid or dull, its the lack of interest & poor motivation that causes students to perform badly in school. Physical problem accounts for at least 50% or more why students don't have interest in their studies or in class, another one is psychological which includes both mental & personal problem. Almost half of the students in my class had combined cases of dyslexia, dyscalculia & lacked visual imagery(just like Carson), students in this category had no interest at all in school, they were just there to fulfill all righteous. Thus, children in this category are presumed as being stupid & dull, but if they are being offered the right kinda help, they tend & are eager to develop that interest & motivation which they earlier lacked, sadly enough, i was unable to offer much in the way of help to most of them. Let me stop here least I bore you with my extraneous variables.

I just watched the Triple Threat movie yesterday.

I must say that Micheal Jai White looks silly when fighting. The guy is just too thick (body-wise)- he did not look as fluid as Scott Adkins in his fighting scenes.

I also must say that the film f4cked up on two levels

-the fighting scenes and choreography where very average to poor. Compare that to the raid, ong bak or SPL

-Iko Uwais was underutilized

An understatement. Imagine someone of Uwais calibre getting outclassed by Grandpa Jai White. Couldn't even beat him alone. Adkins impressed me though. He's a top athlete for real.
