I need help on how to recover my phone. I just got my HTC desire 626s and discovered DAT it was rooted and has twrp recovery mode. I downloaded a rooted update zip file of d official ROM and flashed it thru d twrp and now my HTC is stuck on d welcome screen. Please I need help on what to do to make my device work again

If you have a backup of the previous rom just restore it by going into recovery mode. But if not, try and download another rom and then flash it with the newly downloaded rom

Tanx guys for d help. I wentto xda and I can't seem to find any solution and I didn't back up d ROM. Can u download just any rom and flash? If yes wat is d best rom

Go to google and enter this search terms
”HTC desire 626s xda” without quote.
On the search results, click on the link that has ”development” there you will find bunch of roms and procedures for flashing
Them.
Or you can just visit the site directly and search for your device and then development thread for your device.

Enter fastboot mode and type (fastboot getvar all) in cmd in your computer to no the type of ruu file you will download, if its confusing you contact me on 08062917436 I will tell you what to do

When you have a HTC device with unlocked boot loader and custom recovery, flashing anything official is a no no bro , try here http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-626/development and get used to the buzz.

I believe the boot loader is already unlocked since he said the phone is rooted and has recovery installed on it. You can't root HTC device without unlocking the boot loader

I was able to get d stock root (even though I would have preferred an unrooted version) from xda and my phone is working again and yeah the booatloader is unlocked. However I have an issue in the network mode I can only find automatic, gsm/umts, LTE/CDMA and this options restrict how well I browse because d usual options are 2g,3g, 4g. Any idea guys on how I can amend this or unlock d fone coz it seems it's locked to boost mobile network in d US n dats y I only have this options

It will take you to a list of options; select "phone information" then you will be taken to a sub menu where you can change the network signal to HSPA or UTMS only

Done but whenever I click them my network disappears

Have you tried selecting. ”wcdma only” among the options?

Yeah when I do it stays but is it really wcdma?
