1. As regards advertisement, that's where he generate his own income which he uses to maintain his site as well as himself..

2. If he pasted the direct video link here, what will that bring to his site nothing..

However the only thing I'll actually suggest is a website owner should try to minimize the ads they display on their site.

I agree with you, however the ads are not just the only problem. Infact I personally don't mind.

I'm a developer, and I know how embedded codes can drastically slow down a website load time and response. The ads are not just images but Javascript codes and when you have too many of them the browser will probably load the scripts first not to mention other scripts like traffic trackers examples Google analytics and Facebook pixel, then the actual video itself. So this could results to a non responsive site, imagine visiting this site to watch the video but you can't find it! You'll probably see an image of the video, then you click on it hoping that's the video but nothing happens. This is so annoying and frustrating at the same time. You'll have to wait 2 minutes more before you suddenly see the video appear from no where only to find out the video is actually from Instagram. You decide to watch the video hoping it's worth the wait, you play it once and you like it but you want to watch it again but you can't. You see click here to continue watching on Instagram! Now if you want to watch it for the second time which I know is mostly the case you'll be redirected to Instagram to watch the video again. You've visited 2 more websites over a video that can easily be placed here on Nairaland. The total user experience is not worth it, Nairaland should find better ways to encourage bloggers if they have to cause this is definitely not acceptable.

Thats why i mentioned the site owners should stripped off unneccessary codes from their site thus making user experience more better..
