My concern will be the refereeing. African refs are notoriously poor and when north african countries host tourneys the refs get even more sinister. And when Egypt is involved in anything football you can expect CAF to support criminal refereeing by looking the other way. Egypt will win the Cup by hook or crook. Other teams including Nigeria are just in for the ride. Ever since they were announced as replacement hosts I have lost interest. Egypt should never have been given the rights. They have not been neutral, fair play candidates in my opinion having watched African football for about 3 decades now. 1 Like |
