The senator representing Kaduna South, Senator Sani Shehu, has cautioned the All Progressive Congress (APC) to be mindful of it allegations against the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar’s place of birth.

In responses to Atiku Abubakar petitions at the presidential tribunal yesterday, the All Progressive Congress APC questioned Atiku Abubakar eligibility to contest for Nigeria presidency on the ground of his place of birth.

Speaking through his tweet handler, the Senator said we should trend carefully for us not to reignite Nigeria Cameroon frosty historical issues, so that the Cameroonians not to renew claims to our lands.

“Be cautious in your politics not to reignite Nigeria Cameroun frosty historical issues,so that they don’t renew claims to the old Sardauna province and then we will end up loosing a potion of our northern territory like the Bakassi.” He said.

The birth eligibility has generated several reactions from Nigerians. Some are against APC responses while others are in support.

While this claim by APC isn't of the best moral standing, it has merit, real merit (being Nigerian by BIRTH is a requirement for eligibility to be president) and also plays at pdp's level of dirty politics.

For far too long, PDP and her leaders have used every dirty trick in the book against Buhari. From Reno to FFk, they play politics too dirty and I think it was the right thing to take off those kid's gloves and pay PDP back in her coins.

Okorocha and Amosun simply played into the hands of the Tinubu’s clique in the APC by overdoing things. But don’t buy the fairy tale that they are being punished because of anti-party activities.
What is at stake is who will be the presidential candidate of the APC in 2023.

The town is part of Nigeria now but not until we got independent and Atiku was born in 1946 or so before 1960, means he has no right to contest as President under the Nigeria constitution.
