Same thing I was thinking.

That was a clear handball by Laporte, maybe the ref and VAR officials just decided to let the goal stand instead of giving a red card to Laporte and a penalty.

A former Premier League referee said VAR got it wrong and Fernando Llorente’s dramatic winning goal, which saw Tottenham dump Manchester City out of the Champions League should NOT have stood.

The ref wasnt shown this angle and this is the topic for debate on ESPN why he wasnt shown the angle from the back

http://www.espn.com/soccer/uefa-champions-league/2/video/3828674

VAR failed referee in Llorente goal decision The FC crew argue the referee was not provided the proper angles to see whether or not a handball was committed on Tottenham's third goal.

All these clutching at straws by the Pep fanboys changes nothing.

You know the rules yourself. No need trying to look for fault where there is none. If anything, it should be a red card for Laporte for trying to that blatant handball.

What is the name of that former premier league referee? What did the rule says? We should leave the rule which guide referee’s decision and follow what Mr Former Peemier League referee said.

That goal without VAR could have stood 100/100.

Stop clutching at straws Oga Ade.

The ball hit Llorentes hand, hit his hips before going in. So Llorente was the first to handle the ball

Laurent Blanc was tolerated for few years in Psg. Conte should look for a Sheikh as sugar daddy, so as to wax strong too.

If conte couldn't make Europa league finals with almighty Juventus you think its he would make ucl finals with clubs with patient sugar daddies?

This is not a local league, it’s the champions league. If he hasn’t officiated in the champions league before, he should keep his mouth shut.

Those that know better than him rule that it’s a goal.

if i would advise him, he should hijack this hazard deal to Madrid.

Hazard is the messi that he has been waiting for.

Exactly what I will ask him to do.Then add a dmf in the mould of Carrick. Though defence hasn't been good but with a Carrick kind of dmf his defence won't get constant threats.

Almighty Juventus cheesy.

Football is not mathematics. Did Tottenham win europa league trophy last season? But, Pocchetino knocked your Fraudiola out, to get to Ucl semis this season. I remember telling homesteady to stop writing Spurs off against Fraudiola. Now he has been sent out by a Kaneless spurs.

Di Matteo won ucl for us, only God knows where he is, right now.

Conte did what Fraudiola failed to do in his first season in epl, by ingenuously using some average players to achieve that. Fraudiola said Chelsea needed about 9 new players to do that.

I know who would do better with adequate backing from management.

2 seasons ago Man City reached semi-finals

This season they ja in quarter finals

Last season they reached 100 points in the league.

This season less

Dodonyo

3 seasons ago.

This is the same point they crashed out last time out but they have an FA Cup final which they did not have last season.

I don't understand your point. When Raumdeuter mentions 100pts you people say a league win is a league win. Now you are trying to differentiate between 98 and 100pts.

I don't understand. Did City not win? When last did you see Tottenham concede 4 even 5 goals in one game?

Eruditor, you're usually rational. Please what gave you the supreme gall to say that
1. Angels would play for Spurs before they could knock City out?
2. This would be the heaviest defeat of Poch's career?

Wetin give you this morale? In a UCL QF against Spurs?

So what exactly did Spurs do yesterday? I know you are about to give me the "they are in the Semi-Finals" response so let me spare you of that. What game did you see yesterday? Who totally outplayed the other and deserved to win?

Your second question is non-sequitur. I said "could" not "would" because I knew conceding goals will not be Tottenham's issue.

Anyone who wins the day deserves to win. There's no set way to win a game of football. It is not mathematics. Besides, Spurs did score THREE times.

As regards the second question, even changing the tone from would to could, how could you make such a statement?

okay, offside goals should be deciding it.

I know English words are lost on most of you including the ones living where the language emanated so I understand.

If City's winning goal against Swansea was ruled off, the game would have continued. You can debate with yourself about which team was going to win that game with 30 mins to play.

Yesterday, VAR ruled off a goal in 93rd minute of the game. There is not enough time to react to that. So VAR DECIDED the game.

Good. So City deserved to win, since they won on the day. After all, a team can qualify without winning. So you are talking about qualification and winning. 2 different things. If we are discussing how Tottenham scored, I am not going to discuss that because every one saw uncharacteristic mistakes devoid of tactics that caused that.

As for the other question, if you don't know the difference between would and could, I don't know how I can help. If you know any match in Poch's history in EPL where his Tottenham team is so outplayed that he will wake up asking himself how he qualified, please let me know.

Is it impossible for you not to type rubbish?

When all you have is bitterness, your sense of judgement will be tainted as well. I don't understand how some of you cannot see that City actually won yesterday. They actually scored 5 goals. They actually had numerous chances. They actually outplayed Tottenham.

You're the person who just said English is lost on most people, and you can't differentiate winning the day from winning the game. Are mistakes no longer part of football?

And you're still avoiding my question. You're playing Tottenham Hotspur in a Champions League Quarterfinal, and you have the effrontery to say the game could be the worst defeat their manager has ever suffered. Please tell me what gave you the balls to say that. Particularly after he has been beaten 5-1 by NEWCASTLE UNITED.

So after Uncle Dayo has told us that Llorente should have had his own arm amputated, you're now coming to tell us that offside is a part of football?

I can differentiate between the 2. When you draw on score lines after 2 legs one team qualified and did not "win". If Tottenham were 5-4 for e.g over 2 legs even if they lost 2-0 yesterday, then that is when you are allowed to say they " won". So winning and qualification are 2 different things.

Yes, Poch has lost 5-1 and yesterday (at least to people who watched the game)had every indication that the scoreline could have been worse. Newcastle did not have up to half of the chances City had for e.g. When dust settles, as it would, you can take your time to watch the Newcastle game again and juxtapose it with the one of yesterday.

Uncle Eruditor, is qualifying not the same thing as winning the tie? Or is English lost on you too? Or did they 'draw' the tie and qualify?
