Nigeria is on 6points,if Angola and Uganda wins their next match they will also be on 6 points.... unless the organizers are using head to head which will favour Nigeria against Angola.....Naturalwaves
For Uganda to get 6pts that means they will beat Nigeria meaning they will be ahead of us too on head to head.
And remember Angola had already beaten Uganda and so Angola are ahead of Uganda on head to head.
Meanwhile Nigeria will be ahead of Angola on head to head

So......?

UGANDA U17 V TANZANIA U17

Tanzania have failed to qualify for the 2019 Fifa U17 World Cup this year after losing 3-0 to Uganda
Following their second successive defeat, a 3-0 loss to Uganda at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday, the Serengeti Boys have failed to reach this year's event in Brazil.
After losing 5-4 to Nigeria in a thrilling encounter in their first match on Sunday, Oscar Mirambo's men needed to beat Uganda to remain in the running for a place in the semi-finals.
Andrew Kawooya opened the scoring for the Cubs after teaming up with Najib Yiga with a delivery that flashed across goal and squeezed in from a tight angle to the back of the net in the 16th minute.

Ivan Asaba doubled Uganda's tally in the 28th minute and Yiga sealed the result with a header 14 minutes from time.
The result sees Mirambo's side fail to qualify for the global event as they remain winless and lay bottom of Group A with zero points from two matches.
With the win, Uganda now occupies second spot in Group A, three points behind leaders Nigeria who overcame Angola 1-0 in the other game played on Wednesday.
Golden Eaglets' win saw them qualify for the World Cup with a game to spare for the record 12th time.

Tanzania are not out!

Have you considered that Tanzania, Angola and Uganda can all end up on 3pts?

How? Very simple. Nigeria beats Uganda and Tanzania beats Angola. And on who to join Nigeria if we qualify by beating Uganda, head to head cannot separate the 3 teams because if the results play our as I mentioned above all 3 teams would have ended up beating each other. According to CAF rules, results from games involving the 3 teams will be used and if no separation Goals Difference (GD) will be applied and if no separation Goals For (GF) will apply then Number of cautions and finally tossing of the coins.

What Tanzania needs to qualify is for them to beat Angola by 5 or more goals margin and Nigeria beats Uganda by 1 or more goals margins.

See as the table stands presently:
Nigeria 6pts +2GD 6GF
Angola 3pts 0GD 1GF
Uganda 3pts +2GD 3GF
Tanzania 3pts -4GD 4GF
Note that Angola are ahead of Uganda due to head to head.

If the final game ends Nigeria 1-0 Uganda and Tanzania 5-0 Angola see how the table will stand:

Nigeria 9pts +5GD 10GF
Tanzania 3pts 1GD 9GF
Uganda 3pts 1GD 3GF
Angola 3pts -4GD 1GF

Under this scenario all 3 of Tanzania, Uganda and Angola are on 3pts and have each beaten each other. Head to Head cannot apply here. If u look at the results involving all 3 teams Tanzania and Uganda will be tied on +2 GD but if you look at Goals Scored in the Group (GF ie Goals For) Tanzania have 9 while Uganda have 3. So Tanzania qualfies.

So mathematically and officially Tanzania are not out however, realistically they stand a slim chance.

I have also had to explain "Nigeria yet to qualify" to various media houses. These statistical analyses may be confusing but if u you draw up the table and look at all possible results scenarios u will understand it better.

All these are due to this generic belief that once u lose your first 2 games u are out and once u win it first two games u are through. Yes, that happens most of the times but not always. A team can win their first two games and still crash out while another team in another group or scenario can lose their first two games and win the 3rd and qualify.

But remember Angola are also on 3pts. A win against Tanzania takes them to 6pts, level with Uganda(if they beat Nigeria) and Nigeria.

Meanwhile since .....
Angola beat Uganda
Nigeria beat Angola
And if Uganda beat Nigria
Based on head to head Which two teams will top?

Now you get the point. But a draw will be enough to see us through.

Nigeria has not qualified yet.The eaglets need a draw to qualify. If Uganda beats Nigeria and Angola beats Tanzania, the country that qualifies will be determined by goal difference because on head to head no team among the top three will be ahead of the others.Infarct it is only Cameroon that has qualified for the World Cup in this competition

Do u know it's Uganda we are playing.....so from ur assertion if Uganda beats us mercilessly and Angola as usual beats tanzania(whipping boys of the group)...... Then Uganda and Angola goes to the semis.....no head to head in the U 17 AFCON

Nigeria team play like Barca @ this age but play like Man Utd when they get 2 senior team... Why?
Because after u17, European players keep on learning at their clubs. Nigerian players waste their time looking for big contract instead of learning more

Good analysis!, even the Coach, Manu Garba, don't even know this (at least based on his comment after the Angola match) but i think they are all aware of the situation now. Many concern Nigerians ( including myself ) have reached out to them and they are very much aware of the possible permutations and combinations. meanwhile the coach made it clear already that they are going for a straight win, so we are highly hopeful they will scale through.
