A young man ought to thank his stars, after a soldier saved him from the claws of SARS operatives at ring road, in Benin, Edo state.

According to reports, the SARS operatives during a patrol, sighted a young man who was on dreadlocks at the popular road and started harassing him, with claims that he's a Yahoo boy.

When the incident got messer, the officers tried arresting him and at the same time, tear gassed the eyewitnesses who tried to intervene in the matter.

Luckily enough, a soldier who was on mufti noticed what was happening and intervened in the matter.

The angry mob in the area, resulted into taunting and booing the officers after the young man was saved.

If we have a serious government they would have dealt with this ugly situation with SARS... They have become a full blown menace to our very own existence/safety.. It's pathetic

The body count of the victims of SARS is too much. People who are supposed to be protecting people ends up killing them. Can i sell this country on Jumia?

Hmm. They'd had left the man, with the soldier being involved, cos if things got really messier, we might be looking at a situation where soldiers launched lethal assaults at SARS offices, which the SARS officers involved will be done for at end of the day.
Reminds me what Navy did to them in Lagos. People thought there was war of some sort. After that they were tamed.

i de tell you, the day i saw it at Owerri eh, other soldiers could not help the situation.. i just pity the army guy that day...

but in all, I love Army because they got respect for humanity more than police officers who claim to be more educated!

1 Army is enough to handle bunch of sarz in talking/settling things with them! Everybody knows once you do anyhow with army, then expect the battalions to troop in.
