When Doris expressed the desire to spend the weekend with him, he had warmly welcomed the idea. He drove her home straight from the office that Friday. It was easy for her as she had already packed the clothes she would need with her.

Ade believed things would turn out to be good, just as Nana believed, although she was hurt. It was a case of Ade and Nana being optimistic in their different perspectives.

Irene was with her friend, Nancy in the latter's apartment. There was a bottle of wine they were sipping from. There was also a saucer containing ground nuts. In the background, the music of Tiwa Savage played.

'So, the man has not told you anything about marriage, abi?' Irene prodded, smiling at her.

Nancy shook her head. 'No, he has not. Rather he is hinting that we have to be discreet as he doesn't want his home to be wrecked. Can you imagine that?'

'He doesn't want his home to be wrecked!' Irene wriggled her nose in contempt. 'What a statement! If he truly doesn't want a wrecked home, why does he leave his wife and be frolicking with a beautiful young lady? What else does he expect?'

Nancy agreed completely with her friend. 'I wonder o.'

Irene scooped some ground nuts inside her mouth. Her mouth made loud sound of munching. 'But you're the one wasting time.'

Nancy looked surprised. 'Me? How?'

Irene paused. 'You're wasting time because you have not really done what you should have done.'

Nancy looked confused. 'And what's that?'

'Why don't you tell the prophet about the matter?'

Nancy's face clouded in thoughts. 'The prophet.' It was a mumble and it was more to herself.

The prophet was their spiritual consultant. The man in question had helped them to have a better life, or so they believed. He was instrumental
to Irene securing a job with the multi national, giant telecommunication company she presently worked with. The prophet, as they called him,
was also the one that helped Nancy to blossom in her business.

'You think the prophet can help in an aspect like this?' Nancy looked at her friend questioningly.

'Why not?' Irene was positively assertive. 'I believe he can help in all aspects. What're you waiting for? Why don't you consult him?'

Nancy thought for a moment and nodded. 'You're right, Irene. I'll go and see him tomorrow morning.'

'Now, you're talking.' Irene gave a thumb up.

The following morning, about seven o'clock, Nancy made an important call to the prophet.

'Good morning, holy one.' She was cool but desirous. The title, holy one, was the standard way of addressing the man.

'Good morning, Nancy.' His baritone voice sounded as confident as ever.

'I will like to see you, holy one.' Nancy could visualize the man - his peculiar attire and his ever serious mien. 'Say, by ten o' clock this
morning. May I come around by that time?'

'You'll be most welcomed, Nancy.'

'Thank you, sir, er, the holy one. I'll be there.' She whistled as she ended the call.

Indeed she was there. By quarter to ten, Nancy was in the waiting room of the man. She met two other people - a man and a woman - waiting to see him.

She waited for another twenty minutes before it was her turn.

Indeed she was there. By quarter to ten, Nancy was in the waiting room of the man. She met two other people - a man and a woman - waiting to see him.

She waited for another twenty minutes before it was her turn.

'Good morning, holy one.' She gave a deep bow.

'Good morning, my daughter. He smiled and motioned her to a chair. As usual, he was wearing long, red gown with a stylish, red turban.
'How're you today?'

'I'm fine. Thank you, sir.'

'You're welcome. What can I do for you?'

Before she could open her mouth to talk, he hushed her.

'I think I know why you're here. It's about your future, it's about how you want to secure your future concerning a life partner.'

Nancy nodded. She was amazed by the discerning power of the man.

The man grinned. 'Let me congratulate you for making the right move at the right time. The man you have in your mind will bring you the best
of things in life. Yes, you have made the right decision.'

'Thank you, holy one. What is the next thing for me to do?'

The prophet nodded. 'You will bring fifty thousand naira. You will also bring me the picture of the man and his full name. That is all.'

He grinned and folded his palms.

'You will be the one he will love most in the universe. He will give you whatever you ask for, even if you ask for his two eyes.'

Nancy was impressed. 'Ah, that will be good, holy one. I'll really appreciate that.'

'Good. When are you bringing those things I said?'

There was enthusiasm in her respond. 'Today, holy one. The money is no problem. As for his picture, I have some on my phone, but I'll have to
print it out. All the same, everything will be ready by this afternoon.'

'Very good. I'll be expecting you.'

About four hours later, Nancy was back with all the requirements.

Funmi decided to follow the driver in bringing the children back from the school as she had been doing for over a week now.

Turo could not but notice the changes in madam. It was as if she had undergone transformations. She no longer yelled again. She now easily overlooked shortcomings. Above all, she appeared to be caring now. How wonderful!

Her children chatted excitedly in the car.

'Mummy, you need to see my new aunty. She's very tall,' Deola said.

'No, my aunty is taller,' Derin put in. 'She's even taller than daddy.'

At this point, Funmi's phone rang. Her younger brother was on the line.

'Hello, Sam. How're you?'

'I'm fine, sister. How are you and the family?'

'All is well, Sam.'

'Sister, there's one task you have to do.'

She perched the phone more to her right ear. 'What task is that?'

'The Lord laid it on my mind that starting from tomorrow, you will have to fast for seven days. Yes, for seven days. You can be breaking it each day by six p.m.

'I will also be joining you in the fasting. A challenge is on the way, but you have overcome it by the power of almighty God. That's the
message, sister.'

She sighed. 'Thank you, Sam. Thank you very much. God bless you. The good Lord will increase your ministry. More anointing for you in Jesus
name.'

'Amen. Amen. And Amen. Thank you, too, ma'am. Don't forget: from tomorrow. God bless.'

'Of course, I won't forget. Bye.'

She disconnected the line. There was no doubt that she would do what she was asked to do.

She disconnected the line. There was no doubt that she would do what she was asked to do.

Nana went to the bank to make some deposits of money into the accounts of BestItems stores. The banking hall was brimming with customers and there was a long queue. Thankfully, one of the officers recognized her and took her to an inner room from where she filled the deposit slips.

The officer took the money with the deposit slips and stamped them. She retained the customer's copy, filled the depositors ledger book and dropped the bank's copy. Mission accomplished, she left the place.

About three hours later, she received a call from the officer who stamped the slips.

'Is that Miss Nana?' the caller asked.

'Yes, please. Who's on the line?'

The man introduced himself and his encounter with her in the bank.

She remembered him. He was the officious and the extremely courteous bank officer that attended to her.

'What's the problem?' Nana wondered what could necessitate the call.

'There's no problem. I got your name and phone number from the slips you filled as the depositor. I ought to call only officially. I'm sorry to
break that rule. This is purely a private call.'

'I hope no problem,' she said again.'

'No. No problem. As I said, my name is Paul. I call to let you know I want to be your friend.'

Nana laughed in spite of herself. 'You mean the reason why you call is because you want to be a friend? What happens to all the friends you
have over there?'

'I have colleagues with me over here. But what I want is a friend.'

She sighed. 'What makes you think I can be your friend?'

'I have the belief that you will be.'

'What if your belief is wrong?'

'My belief is hardly wrong.'

She smiled wanly. 'What if I'm married?'

'But then, you're not married.'

'How could you tell?'

'I know. Or are you married?'

She paused slightly. "Actually, I'm not.'

The man laughed shortly and triumphantly. 'I said it.'

'What about you? Aren't you married?' She heart beat rapidly as if she expected a particular answer.

'No, I'm not.'

'I see.'

'That's why I feel free to ask for your friendship.'

Then, he added: 'Alright, I won't rush you. I'll give you some time. I'll call you again tomorrow. But know that I mean no harm. I'm not fake
either. Paul only wants to be close to you.'

'Thank you, Paul. I appreciate your gesture.'

'You do?' He sounded pleasantly surprised.

'Yes.'

'Thank you, too. God bless you. I'll call you again tomorrow. Bye for now.'

'Bye.'

She stared at the phone in amazement. Wow!

Nancy drove to the rendezvous where she was supposed to meet Biyi. He had called her about an hour ago that they should meet there.

Nancy was a familiar face there. She was led to the suite he had permanently booked and was ushered inside.

Biyi had earlier informed the manager of the place that the lady would be coming and had also instructed that they should serve her whatever
she ordered for.

She ordered for what she normally had - a plate of pepper soup and red wine. As she took them, her mind went over what had happened in
the last couple of days. She had followed him to Ibadan and they came back two days ago. Yesterday, he had seen the prophet and had done
what she was required to do for her to get what she desired to have.

Since they came back from Ibadan, this is the first time she would be meeting Biyi, although they had spoken on the telephone occasionally.

Now, Biyi said they should meet in the guest house. Somehow she was thrilled. Going by the words of the prophet, Biyi would be more loving
than ever. Wow, Nancy was thrilled!

In the comfort of the lounging room, she watched the musical channel and took her refreshments. She was glad she had a friend in Irene. What a valuable piece of advice she had given her. Nancy decided Irene would be her best lady when Biyi did the nuptial tie with her.

It was five p.m. Pastor Sam decided to start the prayer session. It was day-two of the seven-day fasting program he was having with Funmi. He had decided to make the prayers precede the breaking of the fasting.

Sam decided to start with worship/praise songs.

We give you all the glory

We give you honor

We give you all the glory

We give you honor

When he got to the prayers proper, he prayed against all the forces working against the marriage of Biyi and his wife. He prayed that the fire of God should consume any force that was trying to manipulate the man, or divert his love from his wife and family.

In her bedroom, Funmi too was making similar prayers. She was now convinced more than ever that prayers were what she needed to have the best things of life and to retain them.

Biyi closed the file containing the resort centre he was planning to set up in Badagry. It was a big centre that should attract thousands of tourists every year. He was sure it would be a very viable business.

It was five thirty p.m. and it was time he called it a day. Gosh, he had been working since morning! He packed some documents in his brief case. He called his P.A.

'Please tell Leke to come.' Biyi only looked at him briefly. The P.A nodded and left silently.

The driver soon came.

'Oga, well done.'

'Yeah.' Biyi pointed at the briefcase. Leke nodded. He knew what to do.

Biyi picked up his phone. He wanted to tell Nancy that he would soon be with her. He could not reach her as her line was engaged. He decided
he would call again.

He left the office. His P.A would take care of locking up. He took the staircase to the ground floor. He was at the base of the staircase when
he felt some dizziness. He had to hold the rail and to steady himself.

After about ten seconds, he felt better and moved outside the building to the car park. As he was about to enter his Hummer jeep, he felt the
dizziness again. He only managed to sit and the close the door.

When he closed it - and he was sure he did it gently - it sounded as if he had slammed it. Now, he could feel a nagging headache.

He had been working hard since morning. Maybe he needed rest, he decided. What about Nancy? He had asked her to wait for him. Would he still be able to see her?

The dizziness was coming intermittently. He sighed and picked his phone. She picked the call after two ringing.

'Hello, Nancy. I'm sorry I'll not be able to come over there today.' He was surprised that the words came uneasily. I'm kind of feeling dizzy and weak. Sorry, we'll see another time.' Before she could protest, he cut off the line.

Biyi turned to the driver. 'Take me home.' He yawned. He felt he was indeed tired and needed rest.

Inside the guest house, Nancy was surprised to hear what he just said.

'Hello. Are you saying you...' Nancy was saying. She realized that that the line was dead. 'Hello? Hello?'

She tried to call his number but it was not going. Did he just say he was weak and tired and that he would not be coming to the guest house?
Did he just say he would not be coming to see her again?

What a disappointment. Just when she thought she would start having an unfettered passionate time with him. Anyway, there was no problem.

Maybe he had overworked himself, she thought. He would soon be refreshed. By the following day, she had no doubt that she would have him
in her arms again. They would be in each others arms.

While Biyi was instructing Leke to drive him home, Funmi was rounding off her prayers. She felt happy she had embarked on the exercise. She
had only done it for two days. Five days more to go.

She went to the kitchen to prepare a light meal that she would use to break the fasting. Sadiya wanted to take over the cooking but Funmi
insisted on doing it.

She was still in the kitchen when Biyi arrived from work. They could hear the sound of the jeep being driven inside the compound. Sadiya went
out to welcome him and to take his briefcase up.

'Daddy said he's not feeling well.' Sadiya came to inform Funmi as soon as she rejoined her in the kitchen.

'Not feeling well?' Funmi was surprised. Her husband hardly complained of such. She dried her hands. 'I'll be back,' Funmi left for upstairs. She
went straight to his room.

'Hello, darling. Sadiya said you're not feeling too well.'

Biyi was undressing when his wife came in. 'I was o.k until I was calling it a day in the office.'

'What's the problem?' She looked at him in concern.

'Dizziness and headache.'

She touched his forehead to feel the temperature. 'Sorry. Maybe it's the stress of your work. You have to cut down on your travels.'

He grunted. He was now wearing boxer shorts and singlet.

She touched his brow again. His temperature seemed normal.

'Maybe I should get you some analgesics. Once you take it and relax, I'm sure you'll be ok.' She smiled reassuringly. 'I'll be back.'

She went downstairs to get the drugs from the first aid kit. She asked Sadiya to put a bottle of table water and a glass cup on a tray and take
them to his room, while she brought the drug.

'Here, this is water and this is the drug. Take it and relax.'

Biyi smiled at his wife. The very caring woman he used to know was back.

'Just lie down and relax. I'm sure you'll soon be ok,' she said like a professional nurse. He took the drug and lay on the bed.

'Excuse me. I'll be back.' Funmi went downstairs to complete what she was doing.

The following morning, he was still not feeling better. Now, feverishness had joined the nagging headache.

She was in his room by six in the morning to find out how he fared.

'I'm feeling feverish.' His voice was low and languid. 'It must be some kind of fever.'

'Oh, dear, sorry. I have to call Doctor Olufemi.' She brought out her phone and scrolled through the phone book.

He made no objection. Doctor Olufemi was the family doctor. He had a modest private hospital, but he had the reputation of being a competent professional.

Olufemi's numbers were not on the first phone. She brought out the second one and scrolled through. Finally, the doctor's number was there.
She dialled his number.

Fortunately, the doctor lived and had his hospital in Ikeja, not very far from where the Oshos lived. Within forty minutes Dr. Olufemi was in the house.

He listened and took notes as Biyi described how he felt. The doctor examined him. At the end, he wrote a prescription of drugs.

'You need to just eat, take the drugs and relax at home today,' the doctor said. 'Don't stress yourself further by doing any work. Just take the
drugs and relax.'

Around ten o'clock that morning, Nana received another call from her 'friend'.

'Hello?' she said.

'Hello, how're you?'

'That must be Paul, right?'

'Yes. And you must be Nana. Didn't you save my number?'

'No, I did not.'

'Well, it's good you recognize my voice. How're you?'

'I thank God.'

'Yes, indeed we must always thank God.'

There was a pause. 'I was wondering if I should take you to dinner early this evening, say around six p.m. Will you be chanced?'

'I ... don't know yet.'

'Sorry, what time do you close at your place of work?'

'I close by six.'

'Good, I can come round by that time. There are good eateries around. It will be a pleasure to take you to one of them.'

'Well, my closing sometimes depends on my madam. That is, if she's around, I may not close at exactly six. But everything depends.'

'I'm ready to wait for you till whatever time you close.'

'Really?'

'Yes. Please give me the address of the place. I'll be there by six.'

Nana gave him the address.

She did not see Madam Funmi throughout that day. When it was closing time, she quickly freshened up. The sales girl too was getting ready to
leave. They bade each other goodbye.

Nana's phone rang.

'I'm in the blue Honda Civic car at the park in front of your stores,' Paul said.

'Okay.'

She picked up her handbag and closed the stores

There was only one car in the park and that must be Paul's. Quite unnecessarily, he blared the horn.

She went to meet him. He opened the car door for her. Even in his sitting position, she could see the zeal in his keenness.

'I'm sorry if it appears I've been disturbing you.' He smiled in apology. 'I only do this to special people.'

'Special? What makes me special?'

'Everything. You may not know it, but you're.'

'Do you always flatter ladies like this?'

'I'm not flattering you, dear Nana.'

He kicked the engine into life and reversed out of the premises.

'D'you have any place in mind that you want us to go?' He stared briefly at her.

She shook her head. 'I thought you already have a place in mind.'

'Indeed, I do. Let's go.'

He drove to Allen Avenue. The eatery had many customers already. They chose a table from where they could see the busy road.

He asked what she wanted.

'Fried rice and chicken.'

He smiled easily. 'That's what I want too.'

She sat while he went to get the food. When he brought the tray, he smiled as he handed her the food.

They started to eat their meal.

'You haven't told me about yourself,' she said.

'Yes. I will.'

He told her. He would soon be thirty five and it had been worrisome he hadn't settled down. He started working in the bank about three years
ago, but he had graduated for close to ten years. He was from a south south state and was the second born from a family of three siblings.

Paul said he first took notice of Nana some weeks ago but had bid his time. According to him, anytime he saw her, he had the impression that
she would be a responsible woman.

It was when he had the conviction that he decided to call her, although he was taking advantage of his official position.

'So, can I know you?' He had started sweating slightly on the brow. The food was hot.

Nana told her about herself. Her real name was Nafisat, and she was from a moslem family from Osun state. Her father gave the nickname,
Nana.

It was last year she embraced Christianity. Now, she preferred the name, Naomi, but Nana still stuck. She was the only daughter of her
parents, but she had two younger brothers. She read Business Administration and was Business Studies teacher in a private school before she
started working at the stores.

She also told him about Ade, and how she believed they were made for each other until recently when things took a new turn.

She even told Paul about the main grouse Ade had against her, which was her inability to conceive for him, although medical results showed
that nothing was wrong with either of them.

Paul listened intently. When she concluded her story, he smiled at her.

'God has a purpose for everything,' His smile became expansive. 'I'm sure my meeting you is for a purpose.'

Nancy called him in the night after the evening that they were supposed to meet. That was more than twenty six hours after the aborted rendezvous. She had waited for this long because she wanted him to be the first to call. She also wanted to register her displeasure over making her wait for nothing.

When she had not heard anything from him after the long wait, she had finally decided to call him.

She dialed his number. After the fifth ringing, the call was answered from the other end.

'Why're you treating me like this?' Nancy started. 'Since yesterday, you didn't see me and you didn't call me since then.'

There was a pause. 'I told you I wasn't feeling well. I've been at home since morning.'

'Oh God, is it that serious? I thought you mentioned tiredness or something.' Her voice ran fast as her tone changed from indignation to
concern.

'It's a fever, but I'm taking medication already.'

'I'm so sorry to hear that. Please get well fast o. I'm already missing you.'

'I'm sure I'll be okay soonest.'

'Please o. I wish I can come around to visit you. Please get well fast.' She looked longingly.

'Thank you. See you soon.'

'Yes, my dear. See you soonest.'

The line was disconnected. So, what she thought was mere tiredness was actually serious.

But why now? Since she had been dating him, she had not for once heard that he was indisposed. Why must it be now that she was expecting
serious love overtures from him?

CAPTIVES OF LUST

(c) Copyright. 2019.

Funmi is a wife of a rich business mogul. She has everything going on well in her life. The appearance of Nancy on the scene threatens to sweep Funmi’s husband away and to destroy everything Funmi has labored for. She will not take this. She is prepared to go to any length to fight for what she believes is hers, including street fighting.
However, the fight goes beyond the physical, and thankfully, she soon realizes this. As for the man, he too realizes that the affair with the other lady is nothing other than an experience of captivity.

Toyin Olorunsola

The big store had assorted goods - both local and exotic. Nancy was happy she had more than enough options to make. She selected the items she had planned to buy. She must not forget the perfumes and wines.

As it was Saturday morning, the place was bristling with customers. The weather was good and was an encouraging factor to outdoor activities. There was no better time for shopping, too.

She went to the counter to pay for her items. She would be paying through the POS today. The lady that took the payments smiled
perfunctorily at her. Nancy smiled back. A small queue was already forming behind her. She took her two bags containing her purchases and
moved to the exit.

Another smile awaited her at the exit door. In addition, the security attendant touched the peak of his cap in salutation. His crisp uniform
reminded her of military officers. Nancy waved and moved on.

It was just eleven in the morning, but the sun had come out in full force. African sun is never shy about radiance. It was already blazing like
one eager to display its sheeny splendor. Nancy put on her sunglasses and moved briskly to her car in the lot.

She opened the boot of the Toyota. The car still looked and smelled new. She became its proud owner some months back, when it was gifted
by someone close to her heart. Nancy had been glad about the generous gesture. Was there a lady that would not be?

She was still arranging the bags in the booth when a hand tapped her shoulders from behind. She turned to look.

'Are you not Nancy?' The woman's voice was imperative. The expression was more assertive than inquisitive. Behind her was a man who
dressed like a chauffeur.

She was on the plump side and looked like someone who had a good life and who would stop at nothing to get what she desired. She was in
t-shirt and jeans trousers, which appeared tight for her voluptuous thighs.

There was something impetuous about the way she talked.

'Yes. Can I help you?' Nancy's answer was short and expectant.

The plump woman shook her head. 'You're the one that needs help. You are the one to help yourself. I just came to warn you. I want to warn
you to desist from going out with my husband.'

Nancy looked shocked. 'Who're you, and what're you talking about?'

'Don't you pretend with me.' The strange woman's voice had gone up. Still, it looked like she would gladly increase the tempo. 'I'm warning
you to stop your prostitution with Biyi. Why are you going out with him? Don't you know he is happily married? Look at you. You're just a
common prostitute! A LovePeddler! A useless LovePeddler!'

It was obvious the woman was ready for trouble. Nancy decided not say anything further. She closed the boot of the car and moved towards
the door.

The woman followed her. 'I've only come today to warn you.' The agitation in her voice was unmistakable. 'Next time, I won't be so nice with
you. You should be ashamed of yourself. Just look at you. What did he see in you self? What is special about you?'

Nancy remained mute. She opened the right , front door of the car.

'Just look at her! Shameless idiot! Can't you look for your own man?!'

The woman grabbed Nancy's top before she could enter the car and tore it. Her movements were as swift as a combatant. Not satisfied, she
grabbed the strap of Nancy's bra and pulled.

The line was disconnected. So, what she thought was mere tiredness was actually serious.

But why now? Since she had been dating him, she had not for once heard that he was indisposed. Why must it be now that she was expecting serious love overtures from him?

The second morning after the illness started, things had not improved. The dizziness and feverishness continued. Dr. Olufemi decided they had to do some tests. He took some blood samples and ran some tests. Some hours later, they should be able to know exactly what the problem was.

Besides, Biyi now ran temperature. His blood pressure also shot up.

'I think it's better we admit you, sir.' The doctor tried to smile in order not to alarm his patient.

Biyi and his wife briefly looked at each other.

'Is it as serious as that?' Funmi looked shaken.

'The admission is better so that we can give him closer monitoring and better treatment.'

'Well, that will be okay. If I have to be admitted, no qualms.' Biyi tried allay the fear of his wife by smiling.

Funmi nodded. She soon went to pack some clothes and toiletry he would need. Leke was on hand to drive him to Dr. Olufemi's hospital.
Contrary to what Biyi ever envisaged, he became an in-patient in Olufemi's hospital.

After leaving him in the hospital, Funmi called her brother.

'Biyi is not feeling well,' she said. 'For about two days now, he's indisposed. He has just been admitted in a private hospital just now.'

'Sorry about that, sister. But don't worry. He'll soon get over it. This is the challenge I told you about. Keep fasting and praying. I know all is
well.'

'Thank you, Sam.'

'It is well, my sister. All is well.'

Nancy tried to call him again but none of his numbers would go through. She expected him to be hale and hearty by now. She expected that he would have fully recovered and be back on his feet. What was happening to him? Why couldn't she reach out to him?

She would have to keep trying his numbers. She also had to keep believing that the Prophet's promise that Biyi would give here allure had not taken effect. If it had, nothing - not even illness - could stop him from overtly showing affection to her.

The bell of her apartment buzzed. Now who could that be? She went to the door. It was Henry. He was her regular guy before. That was
before she met Biyi. Meeting the latter changed the equation. She had given him the red card. He too had called her bluff.

Surprisingly, Henry called her about two weeks ago. He had told her how much he missed her and would want another chance. Henry said he
had come to realize that life without Nancy would be meaningless. Nancy had said no way, that as far as she was concerned, his chapter was
closed.

Henry would not take no for an answer. That was why he came around. Nancy did not allow him inside the apartment. The moment she realized he was the one, she slammed the door shut to his face. Certainly, it was not now that she had great expectations concerning Biyi that she would allow a 'small boy' like Henry to derail her plans.

Henry waited outside her door for some time, hoping that she would have a change of heart. After some minutes, he realized he would be waiting in vain. He didn't want to wait in vain, so he left.

Two days after Paul first took her out, Nana continued to receive text messages from him. Oh, he was good at texting, alright. He professed that he loved her and would want be part of her for the rest of his life.

Nana had told him she appreciated his advances but she was not in a hurry to start another relationship.. Though she was disappointed about the last one she had, she was not ready to jump into the hands of the next available man.

The most important fact was that she did not want any experimental relationship any more. One more thing: there would be no premaIrenel sex. She had been emphatic about the last point.

'I don't want anything experimental too.' Paul crossed his heart. 'I also agree on the premarital sex issue. That one will not be a problem. I'm
not in a hurry to taste the fruit.' He smirked as if he had made the best of jokes.

Then, he became very serious. 'I'm serious about my desire. I want to marry you. I want to be your life partner.'

She felt she needed to clear some things. 'For real? After all I've told you?'

'Yes, after all you've said. Nana will you marry me?'

He had proposed in his car as he offered to take her to her house. Nana felt very emotional about the whole thing.

'Are things not moving too fast?' She was not convinced about him. 'We've known each other only few days ago.'

'It doesn't matter. Besides, we'll continue to know each other more. As for me, I've found the bones of my bones and the flesh of my flesh.'

'Alright. Let's see how it goes. Let's see how things work out. Above all, let's commit everything into the hands of God. Let's pray to God to
direct our steps.'

'I'm not rushing you' He looked into her eyes. 'I'll wait. I believe I will not wait for long.'

She smiled. 'Let's see how God will work things out.' Nana resolved to remain firm, no matter the situation. What she wanted was happiness
and a godly cum fruitful union. She would not allow herself to be stampeded into any passionate blunder again.

Paul came to visit her in her house. He noticed the modesty of the place. He wanted to get her some furniture but decided against it. He
argued that since she would soon be joining him at his place in matrimony, then there would be no need for that.
