We’re Mindful Of Our Borrowings, Despite Rising Debts — Minister Of Finance by Kingpunter(op): 4:44pm On Apr 21, 2019
The Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, says while government borrows to deliver on its promises, it is also mindful of rising debt burden, which eats up about 25 per cent of the country’s annual earnings.

Ahmed said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on the side-line of the just concluded IMF/World Bank meetings, which took place in Washington DC from April 9 to 14.

Funny quote. People who are not ashamed to drag Nigeria back to Stone Age. If there was massive infrastructural overhaul the borrowed trillions would be easy to stomach but alas...

Keep borrowing!

Clueless government!!!

This one is there saying rubbish with confidence

I guess we should also tag it as one of your achievements :-

25% annual budget used in servicing debts!!! Clap for them undecided

Where is Amaechi and co, show your face!!! Why were you fighting Jonathanhuh

Why won't they borrow, look at the extravagant lifestyles of their administration, it's the masses that bears the burden!

All we keep hearing are problems without solution in sight!!!

Mindful indeed...the question every sane Nigerian should ask is... is the huge borrowed money commensurate with the level of infrastructure we see in ground? Most of the projects being executed and commissioned by them now, upon which they're now taking glory are Jonathan's projects. They keep saying blablabla...that Jonathan didn't finish most of the projects, knowing fully well that, all of them had a deadline. Most of them were already contracted with disbursement plans but when the apc got there, they stopped all the projects and contractors left site. Had Jonathan done 2 terms, all those projects would have been completed by now.
