So, how many tanks were at Prokhorovka? To be sure, not the common popular figures which range as high as 1,500 tanks in total, according to the 2011 book Demolishing the Myth: The Tank Battle at Prokhorovka, Kursk, July 1943 by Valeriy Zamulin, a Russian military historian and former staff member at the Prokhorovka State Battlefield Museum.

The actual number was 978 tanks in total — 306 German and 672 Soviet, according to Zamulin. As many as 400 Soviet and 80 German tanks were destroyed.

By the end of the war, his awards included the Iron Cross 1st Cross (March 18, 1943), the Wound Badge in Silver (May 1st), the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross (July 15th), and the German Cross (Aug. 25, 1944.)

He would later receive high praise from another famed SS tanker, Jochen Peiper: “I would gladly take your company into our bunch!”

Gorillas are generally peaceful if not frightened, other than the monkeys you meet in Ind... who are aggressive, not afraid of fighting with humans despite their small size, fast moving and surprisingly clever thieves.

All animals r peaceful , unless one intrudes into their territory or threatens them or they feel threatened.

The langurs r not thieves , they r simply foraging / scavenging for food as they have done in the past in the forests etc and now in cities / towns etc.

As for clever i remember how a mor/on jackass had killed a langur caught in the nets in his house roof , the langurs troops had then travelled to a police station in that area , where they managed to attract the attention of the police personnel and then the langurs led the police to dead body of their friend which was still lying on the roof , they all left only after the police arrested the person who killed their friend , the person was later sent to jail on charges of animal cruelty.

Only some langurs in urban areas r aggressive because they learn from the best in the business - humans.
