When travelling, padlock all pockets even if you dont put any valuables in there. Better still, add money to your budget to buy luggage without many pockets outside your luggages.

In rare cases, Unscrupulous elements can plant drugs on innocent travellers.

Let's be vigilant during international flights

I dont beleive this story. Like has been said, this sounds like a case of someone with connections trying to get his daughter off the hook.

First of all who smuggles tramadol to Saudi?
more likely, this person is a tramadol addict and daddy has intervened to save her with this sham story.

Many people have been executed not knowing the people who sentenced them to death are airport cleaners and baggage handlers. What a flawed system.

May their innocent souls rest in peace.
the annoying thing is the way their case will be dragging in court. Some nuisance lawyers and dirty Judges will start feed fat on their case at the end of the day there will be no logical conclusion to their serious crime. I will suggest they should be packaged and forward them to authorities in Saudi Arabia as fast as possible. They will muddle the case here in Nigeria.

This is absolutely true my sister listened to a audio of a travel agent who was a former staff at the airport made the same claim. On the audio he was said to be saying that they dare not try such with him or any of his traveling clients cos he knows everyone of them.

The mission is like a 50:50 chance if the person gets through, they tell their contact to go and look for the person and retrieve the package.
No wonder they call the person, a mule. A mule doesn't know what happens to it or care about who or what it carries.

Bullcrap to get an obvious bigwig's daughter off the decapitators sword.

Kolewerk...

If she can flunk the laws of Saudi by exporting drugs there, then she should have no fears about facing the music...
Something doesn't add up but can't place it. It's coming shortly after the release of Nigerians pushing drug to Saudi. Too much of a coincidence. If the front officer checking in is not involved, then something no pure. That's where boarding passes and luggage tags are printed and handed over to passengers.

. Please everything is not about politics or social class, a friend and colleague of mine nearly fell into the same trap in Saudi, this time he was given the luggage by hand to deliver to someone not knowing the content, the recipient waited for him at Jeddah and collected it immediately he disembarked expressly, it was when he told his elder brother whom he was going to visit what happened and the elder brother knowing what optains and after due investigation found out that it was drug that my innocent colleague carried from Lagos to Saudi, all the people involved were Muslims and from the same region, so shits do happen my guy

fabinfos:
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has nabbed an airport cartel which specializes in planting drugs in passengers’ luggage.

The accused are Idris Umar Shehu, Sanni Suleiman, Nuhu Adamu, Rhoda Adetunji, Udosen Itoro Henry and Sanni Hamisu.
The cartel had planted the tramadol-bearing luggage on Zainab.

Kindly go through the story again and see if there are any likely differences to the one you just narrated.

The story doesn't add up

No, someone will be at the airport waiting for you. In most cases, they will follow you to your final destination, knock at your door, take their cargo and leave or simply just snatch it and zoom off. Drug men got no chill and are no gentle men.
And the unfortunate ones will be arrested and executed for another man's sin. People are heartless

This is very bad. It means those executed in Saudi or China or Malaysia might really be innocent. Very wicked people. I pray they can extradite them to Saudi or China to face the same sentence they made others go through.

If you know the kind of hideous and horrible things that those airline's baggage handlers do, you'll always want to travel light.

For a lower fee, they'll smuggle your excess luggage in so that you won't pay the official rates for excess luggage.

Consequent upon that, the total freight weight on the aircraft is under-declared which could undermine flight safety.

This should be a national case..

This should be sent to countries around the world where Nigerians are held for Drug trafficking. Nigerian government should be serious in trying to save the lives of Nigerians. This discovery and statement MUST change everything.

"The implication of this discovery by NDLEA is that many Nigerians arrested and executed for drug trafficking in Saudi Arabia might be innocent."

I think they were doing that to settle scores, maybe, if someone refused to yield to their request for tips. They will do that to punish the person.
