I can’t believe how people can be so wicked, they let innocent travelers to be executed just for their self and demonic way of making money. I could vividly remember when a lady was crying and telling the authorities that she was innocent when she was about to be executed.

The only airport in this world without camera. Stew.pid country with a chinko president.
The thing tire person. Public places should always be covered 24/7 with cameras. It eliminates crimes and corruption.

Those immigration beggars in the airport will not like it. This is Nigeria though

But others caught enroute other countries are guilty and can't be victims of same cartel?

Why would a cartel go through the stress of smuggling tramadol, when it can sourced locally..
You don't know Saudi Arabia .locally you say ?
Even the above the law princes go abroad for a bottle of beer.
Tramadol ? Okay.

ARRANT NONSENSE FROM DELUDED PEOPLE

If the luggage was NOT checked by her then A) there is no ELECTRONIC baggage scan on that 2nd bag, and most importantly B) she wouldn't pick the bag up at arrivals, since it is not hers.... And that bag will stay on the baggage belt forever.

Sadly this story is complete BULLCRAP, simply because these people scheme is very simple: these baggage handlers that plant drugs in bags, do so because they have accomplices baggage handlers at destination to pick up the drugs. DUH!

No baggage handlers would simply throw away drugs in people's bag for NO DAMN REASON. use your damn brain, people.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has nabbed an airport cartel which specializes in planting drugs in passengers’ luggage.

According to the Chairman of the NDLEA, Col. Abdallah (rtd), THe cartel was uncovered after detectives embarked on investigation of a Nigerian lady identified as Zainab Aliyu, who was accused of entering Saudi Arabia with tramadol.

Zainab was arrested by Saudi Arabia Police on December 26, 2018, shortly after arriving for Lesser Hajj, over allegations that a luggage, bearing her name tag, contained the unlawful substance.

However, while in detention, the NDLEA received a petition from her father, seeking a probe of his daughter’s ordeal.

Consequently, the NDLEA Commander in charge of MAKIA launched an investigation, which culminated in the arrest and arraignment of seven staff of the airport.

The accused are Idris Umar Shehu, Sanni Suleiman, Nuhu Adamu, Rhoda Adetunji, Udosen Itoro Henry and Sanni Hamisu. The cartel had planted the tramadol-bearing luggage on Zainab.

It was further established that Zainab, who had only a luggage, was not aware that a second bag had been labelled in her name.

The implication of this discovery by NDLEA is that many Nigerians arrested and executed for drug trafficking in Saudi Arabia might be innocent.

People just want a crazy conspiracy instead using common sense. The obvious reason drugs are so easu to smuggle is because their no scanners at most of the airports. Seriously nobody would put valuable items in a random persons bag without a way of getting it or tracking person.

These guys should learn about Occam's razor.

Many people have been executed not knowing the people who sentenced them to death are airport cleaners and baggage handlers. What a flawed system.

May their innocent souls rest in peace.
The more reason capital punishment should be reserved for more heinous crimes than drug trafficking, and even at that, a a long waiting period sentence be passed initially, in order to allow time for appropriate justice so as not to end up erasing good innocent victims from this world while inadvertently shielding the bad ones.

It is well...

Story is obviously fishy. It would be more believable if we were talking about Cocaine here or other hard drugs that are not easily obtainable but Tramadol? Next, this looks more like a political set up. Some child gets in trouble, big shot parent calls NDLEA for a favor, the government gets involved and utilizes stooges to save the poor child from facing execution.

Man what they wrote is SO stoopid, I feel sorry for people who actually believe this nonsense.... So, some baggage handler put a tag with your name on some luggage, no scan tag nada, then put that bag on the plane.... And when that bag with No scan tag arrives there, the baggage handlers don't know if it is in transit or anything else since the bag has no scan tag (just a name tag), so the bag will go to lost and found until someone claims it. The airport luggage belts are all electronically running, you scan the bag and they know where it should go (transit or arrival) that's why you have the baggage scan put at check in, so in transit they always know where is the final destination of that bag.
How can a bag that was NOT scanned at check in get anywhere pass the plane?! Nonsense!

If it was so easy to put whatever you like on planes then so many terrorist would blow planes out of the sky, duh!

how do u know it can be sourced locally? in many countries u can't just walk into a pharmacy and order for drugs like we do here in Nigeria without a doctors prescription. selling addictive drugs without doctor"s PR scrip is like selling hard drugs even in the USA.

What happens to the drug when it gets to the passenger's destination? Somebody else will come and claim it or he does that just to set them up?
If you do a research, you will find out the luggage of the victims carried their destination address. Now if the victim was able to pass through security without being detected, the owners of the drugs will trace the address and claim the package saying it was a mix up bla bla bla. Bottom line, do not put your full address on your luggage.

Exactly... So luggage with SCAN tags with DXB printed on them, will go to Dubai arrival area, luggage with CDG will go to transit area for Paris flight, luggage with LHR will go to transit to wait for the London Heathrow flight etc.... Luggage with NO printed scan tags will go absolutely NOWHERE.

the annoying thing is the way their case will be dragging in court. Some nuisance lawyers and dirty Judges will start feed fat on their case at the end of the day there will be no logical conclusion to their serious crime. I will suggest they should be packaged and forward them to authorities in Saudi Arabia as fast as possible. They will muddle the case here in Nigeria.
I know you are angry but please reason intelligently. how can a crime be committed in Nigeria by Nigerians and then their trial taking place in another country?? is Nigeria not a sovereign nation again??
