This Sefless man understands that house is nothing but a mere building that may lose form over time but getting his community a borehole will put his name on their lips for decade to come

Who will maintain the borehole, they will always need to power a generator to pump water.
If they had build him a house, they will definitely put a borehole in the house then he can connect a pipe outside that his people can regularly fetch water.

Last last lack of maintenance will finish the community borehole project but if it were to be in his house and he allows people fetch water from outside his compound, it would be easier for him to maintain.

The education you are enjoying in Nigeria was due in large part to many missionaries who came over, worked long hours, trained many Nigerians, who went on to expand the education system in this country.

I am a doctor. 90% of my patients will never thank me , 99% will never show me appreciation . I really don't mind. I went into the job to help people, not to expect someone to be thanking me all the time. The world does not owe me a living.A healthy patient is thanks enough for me.

A very difficult decision but i respect the poor fellow. In the final analysis, all is vanity. He chose to impact his people's lives positively against personal aggrandizement. If God wishes, he may still get a house

An average Hausa/Fulani man is so contented with the little he got. And they have great love for their people. A typical southerner like you and I will definitely opt for the house.
