It's annoying when you guys make false and misleading statements just to promote an agenda. The civil war was not necessarily fought to make sure igbos remain in the same country. Until the civil war, no one cared about the igbos. The civil war was as a result of power play within the military hierarchy. It finally boiled down to an ego contest between Ojukwu and Gowon. Ojukwu was not ready to take orders from Gowon - his junior.
It was the Igbos that brought us one Nigeria 6 years earlier. The other regions were not exactly thrilled with one Nigeria until the civil war.

Seems u were born in year 2000. Nigerian civil war had absolutely nothing to do with ojukwu's Ego. A 10 month pogrom against the IGBOS wit a death toll of an estimated 10k - 30k easterners was the number one cause of the war and the secondary cause of the war was Gowons refusal to follow the terms of Aburi Accord.

Children everywhere.

And what caused the 10 month's pogrom? Was it not infighting within the military hierarchy?

And what was the main tenants of the Aburi accord? That Ojukwu will rule the east independently of Gowon's control.

Only the Afonjas who never cross SW in their entire lives rush online to shout that IGBO land starts n ends in SE, continue fooling urself. Over 50% of SS is IGBO, Igbo will forever remain the most populated Tribe in the SS. Online rants won't change a thing, it definitely won't bring 1 drop of crude oil into SW grin
Lol, another bureau of yamin statistics. I thought is was 95% before na. When did iPod reduced the percentage na grin

Yes, the most populated tribe in your dream.

U couldn't name the tribe in SS that have more population than IGBOS in only rivers state.

Even Efiks, Ijaws and Ibibio which are the Power houses in SS are far fewer than IGBOS in rivers state alone.

You are right, that is why your igbo race are governing them in all the SS region.

Lol... As if your own ranting here will change the fact that Ondo state has crude oil more than all the Igbo states combined. grin
SE has the largest natural gas reserve in the continent. Heavy industries are mostly gas driven not petrol.

SE crude oil deposit has not been fully explored and again, many Abia and Imo oil wells were ceded to Rivers and the case is still in Court. Abia alone is demanding over 1 Trillion Naira compensation.

What is wrong with these Nigerians?

Nigeria uses her crude oil export sales to maintain relationships with several countries and that is why they MUST export. It is the only thing the country has to export. Selling all 1.2 million barrels of crude oil daily to Dangote means Nigeria as a nation would now have almost zero exports.

THEY MUST EXPORT.
If those guys think Nigeria would sell 500k barrels per day to Dangote, then they are mistaken for two reasons:

1. Oil is our only strategic goods that we leverage in global politics. It is what makes us relevant globally.

2. Oil generates over 90% of our FX. Selling to Dangote means we would lose over 25% of our FX and it would cripple our economy.

Where will Dangote source $25 million - $50 million EVERYDAY to buy our crude oil? He needs to source those fund externally.

Nigeria would be very stupid to sell our crude oil to Dangote in Naira.

What some people doesn't understand is that our own state-owned refineries were deliberately sabotaged so that we can continue exporting crude oil.

Without our crude oil export we would lose every bit of relevance we have politically. We maintained certain strategic cooperation with some global players because of our oil and we would lose that without those exports.

Imagine, the refinery Buhari is building in Katsina would source its oil from Niger. It wouldn't cost us much to extend the crude oil pipeline in Kaduna to Katsina but chose to buy from Niger?

Why?

We can't lose our leverage.

Dangote should better source for oil externally because even if he pays in dollars, we would have reservations selling 500k barrels per day to him, unless we increase our domestic production by 500k which is what the government is trying hard to do now.

There are Ijaw communities in Ondo state, Obasanjo forcefully added them to Ondo state to make SW an oil producing region. There's no crude oil in SW for now.
