First four readings, answers your query...... Put 1st 2 codes in YouTube...... .... Once you watch the videos, your fix should be directed towards that end....... |

ghadaffi2000: And after he fixes mechanical issues..... Over inflated or under inflated tyres too would lead to excessive petrol consumption....... Possibly not triggering TPMS sensors....... |

Intake leak could be anything from loose clip to damaged air filter casings New tyres New ABS sensors |

timifakay:the air filter casing was damaged and changed today. It was scanned again and it still shows error code p2279 (intake air system leak) the Kazeem also told me he will change the oxygen sensors for the error code p0175 (front bank2 fuel system too rich). Please is he doing the right thing? |

popplm: popplm: No, after fixing the casing. Use the scan tool to clear the error code and go for a road trip. A drive cycle or two is okay to see if the error comes back again. Then rescan and see the new codes. It’s a cheaper alternative to changing the oxygen sensor. If it’s not spoil, don’t fix it. Really your engine is running rich and you had those codes because the engine detect more airflow than necessary and thereby supply more fuel. But if the airflow is now normal, it should stabilize the fuel supply |

popplm: Maybe you have more than one leakage point, tighten every clip well and ensure all hoses are rightly fixed. |

timifakay: Or a cracked black rubber hose. On the left rear wheels look Fara wire that is connected to a sensor and follow it you will see where the wire is rubbing against metal and damaged or broken 1 Like |

Changed the air passage rubber and check the manifold for any leakage but didn't get any, changed the spark plug too and the bank 2 sensor, the check engine still on and showing leakage on the Vacuum. Pls what next to do? |

popplm: Vacuum leak can be from simple to complex. The smoke machine used for checking vacuum leak is very expensive and not many technicians have it. But some are able to manufacture it locally. There are some other ways of checking vacuum leak with can cleaner but it's very rsky, u don't wanna try that on a hot engine. |
