themosthigh:Not his fault so he didnt know the risks involved before tricking people to join his investment scheme? Check again for the definition of "fraud" |

themosthigh:His problem... He didn’t teach the owners of the money to open bitcoin acct and invest it and monitor it for them... What he did was he collected their money and used it to invest in bitcoin... he never told them it was gonn fall or rise ... They only blivd he’s using their money for a business or so like when they fix their money in banks ... So it’s either he defrauded then or he pays back their money cos it’s his loss and not theirs |

EFCC is doing an excellent jobs. Too many corrupt people are in Nigeria, one by one they will be caught and bought to Justice. Please I hope they can investigate Tinubu, Buhari, Osinbanjo, any past and future president in the future. If they are clean , then they do not worry. |

countryfive:Simply search the internet about Bitcoin. It is personal freedom from government-controlled money. The volatility is what people are capitalizing on to make a profit. Always risky trading with people's money. |

There is no fraud there. Crypto currency went on a free fall since last one and half years. Most people that invested within that period lost upto 90% value of their investment. It is the risk with investment. If the price has gone North they would have been smiling and telling everyone how smart they are. They should just leave Joseph alone. He didn't commit any crime. You only invest in bitcoin, forex and investment like that with money you can comfortably lose. Their greed killed them. |

countryfive:No bitcoin is not like MMM. It is legit business but MMM is just a form of 419. The only problem with bitcoin and forex because they are in the same category is that the boys marketing the investment are economic with the truth to their clients on what it takes to really earn from them and the risk involved. |

countryfive:Still asking this kinda question in 2019 when report have it that over 11% of US citizens have Bitcoin? ![]() Nigeria will always be behind when the rest of the world has gone. |

Ferdinandu:I agree btc price plunged since the past one year and any investor would still be in lose right now but that doesn't mean Joseph didn't commit a crime. Did he explain fully well to the investors the risk involved in btc. Did he actually invest the money in btc? If he did where is the wallet in which he deposited the coins he acquired. luckily btc transactions are very transparent and can always be looked up for confirmation. The dates can be verified to confirm if he bought this coins before the dip started. But thats if he even spent a dim of those funds on btc which I doubt. He should face the music. Am only sad this news will make the public think btc is a scam when a lot of traders are legitimately making money from btc trading |

themosthigh:Many ignorant people also thought that MMM will keep paying forever. Not delivering on a business promise is fraud especially when the perpetrator is secretly gambling with victim's money. He should have made the money all for himself and leave innocent people alone. |
