Rust or dust on the generator doesn't define it as not brand-new. I have a brand new generator in storage for more than 5years and it's showing signs of corrosion and extremely dusty the carton itself has started peeling due to moisture. What you see on that generator is corrosion not rust.

To bust the claim of the poster you simply check the engine oil orifice it should spankily clean I mean metallic with the oil golden.

The Airflow casing should be without oil or any dust that place is air tight.

The OHV housing should be without oil leaks and the seal Should still be intact

The removal of the spark plug coil should show a clean spark plug if you also loosen the plugs the piston surface should be shinning like a fresh bald head rubbed with groundnut oil.

All external body parts would show signs of aging depending on storage and environment it was stored in

I have sumec firman 1.2kva...you can have it for 14k provided you stay close or around ikorodu... The gen is working perfectly the only issue it had is that I used to join power output wire because the socket is not functioning... You can however change the socket...

I bought it for a fish pond project but I aborted it half way, I just dropped it under my stairs since I've got bigger one at home.

On Monday, I got a tiger tg2700 generator. I was looking for a gen of no more than 65k. The sumec was 70-75k. Uyo price not Lagos price. In not talking about sumec senwei but original sumec firmann.

This would be my last message concerning the generator aside price bargain.

Take your time and goto the market, take a technician you trust if you don't know much about generators.

Generators are copper and aluminum coiled but they carry same product name and specs.

One thing for sure, you cannot get both of them for same prices.

I'm mobile and can get the generator to whosoever that wants it before paying a dime.

I can't categorically say the real price of brand-new but the company I worked for bought this same generator manual no key start for 120k though it had 2 plug mouth and 2 tyres in 2017. I use the exact same battery type though I got it free of charge brand-new but the owner put the market value at 100k then he got it as a gift also brand-new.

if the generator is actually new his asking price isn't too much if it's the real deal original sumec firman
