I must commend the efforts of the Ordinary President and Brekete Family (Human right radio 101.1 Abuja) in this case. Most especially, I'm grateful to our President and the NIA.
Thank you all for saving these guys from death. God blesz you.

Oh Kudirat, rest in peace. They start taking things seriously after she died. Useless Geofrey. God bless you Abike for everything.

actually, the ambassador of Nigeria to Saudi has reported this case to Geofrey (foreign affair minister) long ago about how innocent Nigerians are being arrested and on death row in Saudi because of some drug gangs at aminu kano intl airport that always put drugs on peoples bag to transport for them buh Geofrey refused to do anything, heard he didn't even read the letters. So after Kudirat Afolabi (who was also a victim of those druglords) was killed, it was then the ambassador reported directly to Abike, this has since then led to vigorous investigation which the fg have confirmed to be true hence the reason for this fg intervention. I really felt for late Kudirat Afolabi who actually paid the price. If her mother who was with her when she was arrested had known the right route, she'd probably still be by now.

Nigerians and intelligence are mostly mutually exclusive to each other ,this post confirmed that.Nigerians need to learn that the brain is for cogitation not thinking about the next place to steal or cheat.

Good one.
Kudos to the federal government.

But I truly wonder at some people, I would call them people though underservedly.

At first at Zainab, you said her father used connection and money.
This man now you all are tying to religion.
Hell angry

Counter claims of so called Christians languishing and on death row in jails all over the world.

How pathetic! Knowing fully well that some people have chosen drug trafficking and human trafficking also as a cash end.

The countries that burst these people also do conclusive investigations before passing sentences, some sentences have been passed lightly or not due to level of culpability of the charge.

Also there's a phenomenona called profiling. When you don't fit you don't fit.

Guile and sentiments of all kinds cloud the brain .

Be human again, " you people"

nairalaila:
The Federal Government has confirmed that another Nigerian has been released by authorities in Saudi Arabia, days after Zainab Aliyu was released after been held in custody over an alleged drug trafficking.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry who confirmed that another Nigerian has been released in Saudi Arabia in a statement from its Acting Spokesperson, Mr. Friday Akpan, said Ibrahim Abubakar also travelled on the same aircraft Zainab Aliyu was in and was also arrested on the same day.

“Zainab Aliyu, a Nigerian student who travelled for Lesser Hajj with her mother was arrested by Saudi Security Officials on Dec. 26, 2018, in a hotel in Madinah. She was accused of possessing a bag containing illicit drugs purportedly bearing a tag with her name.

“Another passenger, Ibrahim Abubakar, unrelated to Zainab, who also travelled on the same aircraft, was also arrested on the same day,” it stated.

Plant drugs for what purpose? If they were arrested at the hotel, was it just for set up? The planting of drugs line is very lame

Try to read!
They didnt plant the drugs in their bag, there was another bag, with drugs and their names were tagged to it.
So if luckily the airport officials don't detect the drugs in the bag, their accomplice will pick up the bag.
These people didn't know that there was another bag with their name tag.
The zainab girl was said to have travelled with one luggage, but on arrival she had to luggages with her name tag.

Sorry but you dropped the ball completely. My post was cryptic ,sarcastic and aimed at your astonishing inability to realize that the woman is truly innocent. I'm not in anyway trying to belittle you but I always feel sad that Nigerians fail when confronted with non textbook cases. In Britain the civilian jury in the court would have unravelled this case quickly. The father knows her daughters character and fought. Some other tribes in Nigeria cannot be defended because of their financial desperation as a result of population issues

From what I've heard.
They(their people in Saudi Arabia) track the people and their luggage and pretend they are some kind of officials, and under the guise of searching them and their luggage they retrieve the drugs.

Tell this bullshit lie to those who have not traveled before, this is not possible.

1. Bags are searched after you have pick them up after arriving your destination.
2. At the check in point tags are giving for each bag you check in
3. Who will pick up the bag that has the person name on it, is the person inside the plane, how will the person pass the bag at the final checking point with another person name.

Who's talking about the possibility or not?
Isn't that the story they publicised?
Someone asked, and i simply explained like we were all told.

And btw, I've travelled to three counties, and I'm currently in Europe.

When you came into europe at which point where your bag searched
, is it not after pick up and while heading into exit into the country that the bag is checked. How come did they noticed unclaimed bag and was able to get the person immediately, normally unclaimed bags are destroyed after many days if the owner did not come for it.

Funny how we're seeing these releases of Nigerian convicts after the news aired that Nigeria was approaching Saudi Aramco to help revive its refineries.
