Dottore:Actually a good number perharps (in the) tens to hundreds of Nigerians (I dare say many 'Christians'—since some emigrated from a south-south state) have been released almost every other month in countries like Libya. A lot more work needs to be done in our diplomacy I guess. until recently, they were brought home in batches. P.s. I am a Christian. |

Odingo1:First you didn't read the story. And secondly, my luggages were checked before i picked them up. It's possible that it was the same scenario here. That being said, the innocent girl has been released, thats all that matters and not long talk. |
| Re: Saudi Arabia Releases Ibrahim Abubakar, Another Nigerian Held For Drugs by Odingo1: 11:57pm On May 03, 2019 |
Larryslim:If your luggages are checked before you pick them up that is the first computer check before the bags will start rolling out then after picking it there must be final check to confirm the tag and may involve physical opening of the bag before you exit into the city, you must have a tag for how many bag you put in the plane, which is verifiable. The story does not add up atoll. Some one can only plant drug into someone bag, but additional bag with someone name doesn't add up. How will they even tag the bag, is it as addition to the one you check in or as what ![]() |
| Re: Saudi Arabia Releases Ibrahim Abubakar, Another Nigerian Held For Drugs by Larryslim(m): 12:18am On May 04, 2019 |
Odingo1:Unfortunately, when I claimed by baggage, there wasn't any final check at all, physical or not. I left the airport and got into the city, and this happened in all three different countries i've been too. That being said, the report says " A cartel that operates in the airport", why do you think adding a nametag to a different bag will be hard for them to do? I haven't also heard of it prior to this, but I'm not suprised and i beleive it can happen! |

Larryslim:No mind the guy jare. Him wan form say him get sense! After picking up your bags when they're rolling, no be all countries dey do any "final" check after than one. You claim your baggage & leave airport straight! |

Imoh555:With what the igbos are doing all over the world with drug trafficking, no government would want to intervene in their cases. The American government would not intervene even if the igbos were from America |

Imagine how many innocent Nigerians Saudi has killed. That girl and her family tried but were lucky too because I’m sure her family isn’t the first to claim innocence. A lot of pleas fell on the deaf ears of the Nigerian authorities. Idk the reason the PMB govt listened but this is very welcomed. The governments job isn’t done They need to further investigate the airport workers that were arrested to figure out how many Nigerians they led to death. |

Imoh555:Not so long long ago, hundreds of your Christian Blodas and sisters were rescued from slavery and almost certain death in war torn Libya, where majority of them travelled and knowingly placed themselves in such mortal danger - yet no one put tribal or religious coloration to that noble govt effort; however, in the case of these two apparently innocent victims of drug traffickers, many like you are already up in arms just because these particular persons are Muslims from the north - what hypocrisy ![]() |

Larryslim:That was why I asked. Will someone at the airport sneak into the luggage area to retrieve the luggage or are they working with airport officials working there in those countries? I did not say they founfmd it in/on her person. Thanks for the clarification. |

Larryslim:You are saying that someone can pick another person bag and just enter inside city just like that, that is not true, you mean anyone can pick any bag and leave |
| Re: Saudi Arabia Releases Ibrahim Abubakar, Another Nigerian Held For Drugs by Odingo1: 9:04am On May 04, 2019 |
Moukandjo:How do you claim your bag and leave straight!, with Tag or without tag |
| Re: Saudi Arabia Releases Ibrahim Abubakar, Another Nigerian Held For Drugs by Moukandjo: 9:10am On May 04, 2019 |
Odingo1:With tag, baba. No be all countries get time to dey triple check things, & that's where problems dey arise from at times. |
| Re: Saudi Arabia Releases Ibrahim Abubakar, Another Nigerian Held For Drugs by Larryslim(m): 9:29am On May 04, 2019 |
Odingo1:Yes anyone can pick any bag and leave. But there are CCTV cameras, so if a person reports a case of missing baggage, and the airline can confirm that they delivered all baggages of the passengers, they might have to check the Airport CCTV, if the camera shows you picked another baggage, you might have your self to blame for that. Like i said, I've been to three different countries and not even one did the final check you talking about. After you cliam your baggage, You leave the airport! |
| Re: Saudi Arabia Releases Ibrahim Abubakar, Another Nigerian Held For Drugs by Larryslim(m): 9:30am On May 04, 2019 |
delishpot:Yes i guess, they will definitely be someone ready to pick it up, if the baggage miraculously doesn't get found. |
| Re: Saudi Arabia Releases Ibrahim Abubakar, Another Nigerian Held For Drugs by Larryslim(m): 9:33am On May 04, 2019 |
Moukandjo:Exactly. There must have been a check before all baggage are taken to where you claim it, so why do they need to a final check? Will you add an exhibit into it? Even your hand luggages are searched as soon as you enter into the airport, so where do you want to get exhibit from? Searching again is just total waste of time! |

Larryslim:I agree with you sha, but bag do resemble each other, how will cctv capture the person that took another person bag. Most times bag are not checked when it is a transit flight. |
