Ephesians 3:20, NLT: "Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think."

Missionary Bobby Burnette had a vision from God. It was several years ago, while walking on the undeveloped land in Fond Parisien, Haiti that had been donated to Love A Child.

At the time, he was praying to God for guidance. The Love A Child ministry had been given a huge parcel of land, but how were they to use it to best serve God’s kingdom? Looking over the many acres of scrub, he suddenly had a vision of hundreds of brightly colored houses. He saw beautiful homes on streets lined with lush gardens.

Bobby was confused. He guessed that God was instructing him to build houses, but he had no idea where he was to find the people to live in them! All those years he waited, confident that God would eventually provide the answer.

The earthquake in 2010 left thousands of families
without homes.

Makeshift shacks made of debris and scraps of fabric were cobbled together in every available open space: along roads, in ditches, and even on the grounds of the demolished Presidential Palace. People were desperate for shelter; they literally had nowhere to go. Love A Child took in as many people as they could assist, filling every building in its compound with injured victims. After serving as a massive field hospital for several months, Love A Child agreed to clear 62 acres of land for the American Refugee Committee (ARC) to build a large “tent city.” Camp Hope, as it became known, was an immediate solution to a pressing problem. The tents provided shelter for people displaced by the earthquake, but conditions were far from ideal. People needed permanent housing – a place to rebuild their lives and re-imagine their futures.

In response to this disaster, and with the generous support of many dedicated donors, Bobby’s vision from God was realized with the construction of Miracle Village. We are thankful to our many partners and friends who helped turn Bobby’s vision from God into a bustling community full of hope. Special thanks to Kingdom Connection’s Pastor Jentezen Franklin and Joyce Meyer Ministries’ Hand of Hope for sponsoring the construction and furnishing of the houses in Miracle Village.

With this backing and the hard work of hundreds of volunteer mission teams, we cleared the land, built roads, as well as erected the homes, a school, and clinic. Love A Child has created an entirely new way of life for families living in Miracle Village.

Miracle Village is a subdivision of more than 500 fully furnished single-family homes built on land originally cleared for Camp Hope. The village has quickly grown to include a permanent church for villagers to worship and praise God. Happy children run around the playground and study at the school. After months of living in tents, the people of Miracle Village now have beautiful, safe homes and can learn how to provide for themselves.

To encourage Miracle Village residents and other Haitians to embrace this new lifestyle of self-sufficiency, Love A Child has introduced them to several sustainability initiatives. These Haitians are learning to supply their own food by raising fish, chicken, and eggs. Hope Seeds, Inc. has donated seeds for each family to grow vegetables in their own garden plot.

Love A Child has recently completed construction of a massive Marketplace that provides jobs and food security to many Haitians throughout the region. We are also in the process of tearing down our very first school that was built over 30 years ago and rebuilding it so when the school year begins the children in the area will have a safe new school to attend.

Honestly this village looks better than Banana Island
God bless Jentezen Franklin Ministries
God bless Joyce Meyer Miniseries
God bless Bubby Burnette and his family

These folks literarily do so much with so little. Up till recently there has been only two federal prisons that Joyce Meyer ministries had not visited in the USA with goodnews and goodies.

- This is Christianity

Sir, both Jentezen Franklin and Joyce Meyer who more or else funded this projects wholly, have private jets. But nonetheless they've been a blessing to millions of people. There's a genuine wealth transfer going on into the Church globally.. Bobby had a dream but God had to orchestrate a connection between himself and wealthy believers.

Also there is the matter of Vision just like codetemplar espoused. As Christians we celebrate the manifestations of all church movements as one household of faith. But we recognise the differences in their mandates.

A white missionary once saw a vision of Nigerian youths preaching the gospel and being paid by FG. Many years later NYSC was instituted and NCCF spinned off into a missionary tool..

A missionary in the west once dreamt and saw the word "Lesotho". Confused, she picked up a map and found this little nation totally engulfed by the nation of south Africa. She later got the understanding she was meant to go there as a missionary.

A certain Yoruba man who was illiterate slept and a vision where he saw the word REDEEMED pasted on his wall. He got educated persons to scribble the word together. And there was birthed the fastest growing Christian ministry in the world - RCCG.

In the Battle of Solferino where 300,000 men died a certain Christian Calvinist, Henry Dunant got a vision to treat the wounded despite their political differences - The Red cross was borne.

Bishop Oyedepo had a vision about a university, he soon encountered challenges as he could no longer fund the university. Pressured by banks to take loan he went back to God in supplication. And miraculously money started entering from different places. Today, that university is one of Africa's fastest growing university - Covenant university.

The bible does not like comparison in the household of faith. But i would like to say that there are many ministeries in Nigeria that are richer than these missions in Haiti, and can do more than this if they desire to.

We know Nigerian churches are trying also, but they can do better!! You shouldn't buy a jet if you haven't done something like this...

On another note, this village actually has more basic infrastructure than much of Nigeria... Even though everything is basic but you can see the excellence behind it that has always been the trademark of Christian missions.

Very good question... Haiti, the black nation that managed to escape being inside Africa. You would think that they would have done well for themselves because of how close they are to USA and Canada. But alas it is of no difference than its sister nations in Africa.

I'm tempted to research about the Origins of Africans. Scientists say that our brain as people in Africa is not inferior to that of the White folks. Therefore the problem of Africans isn't biological.

Perhaps Africans are suffering from a spiritual problem or maybe "we are still suffering from the impact of slavery" is a plausible explanation.

It's a complicated issue...not just one or two reasons can be adduced for this. But the primary reason is that slavery (the one carried out by Arabs as well as the Europeans) caused a huge social and psychological dislocation among the black African populace (whether they're found in Haiti, the US, Britain or sub-saharan Africa). The fact that Africa now has live with the fall-out of colonialism and the ongoing effects of neo-colonialism isn't helping as well.

sir... To me present Black nations blaming Colonialism and slavery for their under development is likened to an Elephant saying the only he had stunted growth is because... two weeks To his birth... his father was tied with a black rope to a giant Tree in the Forest... why can't Black nations especially sub Sahara Africa come out of the silly excuse of Slavery as their cause of under development...

The bold part is one aspect where most people forget the source and miss it. Many times I see people questioning Oyedepo for not building factories forgetting that all what we see today had been delivered in a vision some 30-something years ago.
People don't let God lead them into His plan for them most times but try to lead God into their own ventures and ideas and just carry Him along many times.
The vision is key.

So what of those who weren't sold as slaves also. Why did they even succeeded in taking us captive in the first place?

Vision is key. Private jet, schools, and even live transmission of gospel to nation of the earth were part of the vision of Oyedepo. Maybe you should tell us the vision God gave you.

How can they learn such when all they are interested in is how to purchase the latest PRIVATE JET and FLYING AROUND, lodging in Hotel Accommodations of between $5000 to $10,000 per night.

The annoying thing is that “it’s not their hard earned money” PEOPLE toiled to deposit their cash in there with the hope of getting what they want, after they have been deceived to do so, but all to no avail.
