FYI...
Yapi Merkez is the main contractor for Tanzania's electrified SGR.The client is a Gov of Tanzania. Yapi merkez will handover a complete phase 1 railway on November according to tender documents. Before the official handover on Nov 2019, the contractor will do a test run using his own locomotive(s). What u see above is what yapi merkez will use for a test run before the handover on November. Remember, the Gov of Tz is not allowed to use a railway at this point in time.The locomotive you saw is owned by yapi merkez as u saw it is branded yapi in its sides

The guy lacks engineering knowledge! He didn't know that Yapi merkez are only contractors for Tz SGR.You cant just handover a railway to a client without a test run.There is another bidding process for a supplier of EMU's,hoopers etc which we believe Siemens will win
