The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Friday afternoon, met with top executives of the China Civil Engineering Construction Company(CCECC), the firm constructing the Lagos-Ibadan rail line which is due to be completed soon.

The CCECC executives were led by the chairman of the company, Chen Fenjian.

“Vice President Professor Osinbajo received in audience the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) led by the Chairman, Mr. Chen Fenjian at the State House, Abuja,” the Government announced via its Twitter account.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, visited the site of the Lagos-Ibadan rail line, being built by the Chinese company. The government said Amaechi was carrying out a final inspection of the 156km long railway, being built with $1.6 billion in Chinese loan.

Without Amaechi, any meeting is a hoax. Amaechi is the one driving that project. Maybe the stupid went to VP to plead that he (VP) should help them beg Amaechi to give some time since they are behind schedule. Well done Rt. Hon. Rotimi Adewale Akanji Amaechi.
