This is not new. I could recall when Chief Gani Fawehinmi was giving his speech after being conferred with the SAN title (something he was denied of during the military regime) he made mention of a case he went for at Maiduguri and the judge had to use a lantern to read proceedings.
He then pleaded with the government to look into the issue as it poses health challenges to the judges.
