Nnamdi Azikiwe university - UNIZIK has grown to become of the most beautiful universities in Nigeria and Africa at large.

I never knew this until i visit the school yesterday for the 13th convocation event in the citadel. I was caught grasping for breath as i was shocked at the massive transformation both in infrastructures and human capital.

On a further inquiry, i found that aside what the school receives as allocation from the federal government, the indigenes of the state are pimping millions and billions into the school.

A student from Kogi i met there told me that billionaires in Anambra are competing on structures in the school, that if you are rich and yet to have your name on any infrastructure you built in the school, then you are not rich yet.

when we were in ’bakassi’ management science faculty, It was still like secondary school.

The school has indeed transformed, thanks to Prof Ahaneku, I hope more public schools are seeing this because a change can still be seen regardless of how meagre your resources are. It's high time our universities started looking like one and not like some glorified secondary schools.

Iyke Orji died 14 years ago. December 10th 2005 to be precise. Yes we really suffered those days. I Remember Iyke Orji and his students having lectures under a mango tree in temp site. He taught us logic in 2002. Called Unizik a glorified secondary school. Am really glad the school has come a long way....
And may Dr Iyke Orji continue to RIP. Amen
