IPhone is not like android that would charge when it is switched off
Once the charger is it ,It power on itself

I will suggest u soak tissue Peper in spirit and dip into the charging port with a strong tiny iron or tiny s rew driver to wash the port. This shud work 100 percent. If still not working. Change ur cord n charger

if you plug in the charger and then switch it off it would charge while the phone is off

tried it, same thing and I have two chargers the charge other iphones
