Again the deluge of heinious activicties most expecially Nigerian involve themselves account most for thier death drug peddler, cyber crime. Illegal immigrant and theft just to mention a few... A case study of this thread butress my point though we do not really know what transpired but why on earth will he try to attack an officier with a knife.
And the frivolous reasons that kill Nigerians even in Nigeria is nothing compare to developed countries...

State College cops who killed Osaze Osagie, a Nigerian student in the United States, have been cleared of all charges.

The police officers had implemented the use of force while serving a mental health warrant that resulted in the death of Osaze Osagie on March 20.

According to a the Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna, the officers were in a “life-and-death situation” when they shot Osagie who was approaching them with a 5.16-inch steak knife, Onwardstate reports.

Osagie died of multiple gunshot wounds after the confrontation at his apartment on Old Boalsburg Road.

No charges will be filed against any of the officers involved in serving the warrant, and none of them were referenced by name by Cantorna.

“Given the distance between Mr. Osagie and the officers and the speed at which Mr. Osagie was moving, Mr. Osagie had ample opportunity to seriously injure and potentially kill both officers,” Cantora said in a press conference.

“The time that Officer No. 1 shot, there was no time for any alternative means to stop a potentially deadly attack by Mr. Osagie. At the time of the incident, both officers acted consistently with their training and were justified in the use of force.”

The full report detailed the course of events that led to the Osagie’s death after his father reported him missing on March 19.

According to Cantorna, the confrontation between Osagie and police at his apartment lasted about 30 seconds from the first knock on the door until he approached them with a knife and was shot.

Someone is rushing towards a trained police officer with a knife, and the only option is to shoot him dead? Shot not once, not twice, but several times? Not shot on the shoulder or knees, but probably on the head or chest?

The cops are trained to keep shooting until the threat is neutralized. I guess by experience they learned that suspects remain potentially lethal after being shot to immobilize/weakened to effect an arrest..RIP to the deceased.

Also, he seemed to have mental problems which made the problem white deadly. The cop had only split seconds to make the decision. Poor guys (Both cool and the dead)

Chances are that in your story, the shots were to disarm and NOT kill as it is with black young men..

There's an underlying racial stereotype that belies their actions. The family of the Australian woman who got killed by an Asian policeofficer got compensation, though details of the shooting were similar to that of most police killings of black young men. The officer was also disciplined.

In my humble opinion, the difference was the victim was not a blonde haired pretty Australian female.

From the article, it appears the man might have had mental issues. It's rare to hear of oyinbo with mental issues being killed... even after oyinbo threaten, attack, abuse police - they will still find a way to disarm/disable nonlethally. However when it comes to black men holding knives, phones, wallets, or even running away, US police response is shoot to kill.
