On September 20th, 2017, the government of Buhari approached a Abuja high court to get the separatist organisation, Indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB) declared a terrorist group and banned. The court granted the the government the order and IPOB was proscribed. However, IPOBS legal team, led by Barrister Ejiofor, appealed the ruling stating that IPOB is not an armed group, had not killed anybody and had no history of violent agitation. They also said that the evidence that the government used in proscribing IPOB were concocted and unverified. The legal team also wondered what justification there was in proscribing IPOB when far more deadly groups such as killer herdsmen were not proscribed.

Since then, countries like America and the EU have come out publicly to say that they dont believe IPOB is a terrorist group

In January 2018, the high court reaffirmed its judgement proscribing IPOB and the IPOB legal team headed to the appeal court. After several adjournments, the court has now postponed ruling on the matter to October 2019, to decide if IPOB is truly a terrorist group, or not.

IPOB is just like arewa youths, northern elders forum, and middle belt forum, arewa consultative forum and all other groups in the north

IPOB is a criminal and terrorists group of people.

Ipob dont care what KANGAROO court thinks.

Restoration of Biafra is a task for every Biafran.
