Bariga ferry terminal and access road will be commissioned tomorrow

The new ferry terminal access road in Ilaje-Bariga will be commissioned tomorrow.

The ferry terminal named Bariga Waterfront is an initiative of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration. It is aimed at scaling the integrated transportation system and ensuring seamless connectivity within the State.

The state-of-the-art jetty is situated at the tail end of the upgraded Ilaje Road which provides access to the terminal from Akoka Road, abuts the lagoon front facing the Third Mainland Bridge.

The reclaimed land area of over 2000 square meter has facilities such as parking area that can conveniently accommodate 150 cars and ample space for park and ride buses.

Complementary facilities at the terminal include ticketing office, slip way and boat berthing, private boat charter, passengers seating area, restaurant, mini mart, shops, toilets, seat-out area for relaxation, beautification features and many more.

No matter how much road u have built, not fixing existing roads resulting in heavy traffics is failure.
Very soon an existing road that requires just maintenance will be needing full reconstruction.

I supported tinubu for the first time for ousting you though our reasons were different

Is that refuse and debris on the waterfront.....looking dirty...is that what they are commissioning...what about the provision for proper access roads to connect to the facility, what about a ramp for disabled people...or they don't deserve to use the facility, are there washrooms for people to use or you will all pee and defecate in the ocean also....all these rushed projects that they do in Nigeria....well

One simple question I have is ,how safe is our water body? What has been put in place for safety? Cos a former colleague told me how their boat was stopped on the Lagoon coming from Banana islaand axis by thieves in another both more like pirates. Considering the nature of this mode of transportation you have nowhere to run.so back to the question , what has been put in place to counter all sorts of occurrences that is including technical mishap et al
