A Nigerian woman from Edo state is has cried out after she was deported from Germany at midnight.

The lady claims she did nothing, that the German authorities said she didn't have a Nigerian passport.

She was deported with her 3 children - 2 boys and a girl. The children were asked to speak German language, which they did in the video. She said she gave birth to the 3 kids in Germany.

The lady said she was deported with nothing as she is Stranded in Lagos.

She should look for another country because, Nigeria is a no go area especially, from now till next 4 yrs.

If she is illegal, and there is NOBODY to legally care for her kids, then why wouldn't she deported. I guess she foolishly thought that because her kids are Germans, she would be allowed to stay in Germany with not legal visas. WRONG!!!!!

Many things ain't right with her story.

Chai! This is why it's not good to stay in a country illegally. They should have at least allowed her to clear her account (if she has any) before bundling her and her kids on the next flight.

Just watched the video and I am not understanding why you interviewer kept emphasizing on "why would a country deport their own citizen?" He doesn't know that being born in an EU country doesn't guarantee your citizenship like it's done in the US and Canada. If you like birth 10 children there, they will never be regarded as citizens of that country. For the woman not to have a passport means she entered Europe illegally through the Mediterranean and migrated into Germany without any travel documents. All the time she was in Germany, she couldn't locate a Nigerian embassy to get their passports done? How can you and your kids not have passports and you continued living in a foreign country comfortably because you birthed them there? She brought this upon herself, now her children have to suffer the consequences of her stupidity. Poor kids.

When she comes back to hear that Buhari is still the president. She just can't help but shed tears .

The rate at which Germany has been deporting illegal migrants now eeh.

The German nationality law doesn't confer automatic citizenship by the virtue of birth (jus soli), but by the virtue of blood (jus sanguinis). If the kids mother is illegal at birth, then such status is automatically passed down to the kids. In the western world, only Canada and USA does citizenship by birth.

Before the German authorities will deport she and her kids, it is certain that she must have breached immigration law, as the authorities normally will act within the scope of the law. Gone are the days your kids can be a reason why you'll be permitted to reside, unless one of their parent is a citizen or has a legal status when they were born.
