Justice Mary Odili excused herself from the case considering that she is from Rivers State and her husband is a PDP member.
This post is only putting to rest the misinformation that Justice Odili was among of the judges in the Wike/Dakuku’s case.

For those making excuse for Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa whose husband, 2 brothers and son are members of the ruling party and have cases in her court and her constituting all the election Appeal court tribunals is not only a conflict of interest but the infliction Of biggest injury on our judiciary and democratic values.

Justice Bulkachuwa must excuse herself from all election related cases and disbanding all the tribunals she constituted as their independence, objectives and fairness to all parties is grossly impaired. - © Chidi Cali

Justice Odili doesn't even need to be part of the panel to be able to influence it's decision. She can still do that behind the scene. She wasn't present when her husband was given an unjustifiable perpertual injunction protecting him from investigation and prosecution, but it was her wish.

The President of the Appeal Court will recuse from the case. There is no way around it unless the enemies of state want to introduce an dimension to our judicial procedures.

Recusal application based on "apparent bias" will be granted and that is exactly what PDP filed.

Strong recusal rules are instrumental to judicial integrity.

It is our duty as Nigerians and stakeholders in the justice sector to uphold the sanctity and integrity of our sacred laws.

That APC Justice must disqualify herself. Nyako did it in the case of the State vs Nnamdi Kanu, the Justice at th Sokoto Appeal Court during the case between APC vs APC of Zamfara.

Show us supreme court judges that presided over APC/PDP case of whether the appeal court president was right or wrong to relocate Rivers election tribunal to Abuja. And see if you'll not see Mary Odili's name.

Even in some APC primaries case between Abe and Tonye Cole in supreme court in the just concluded 2019 election.

Justice Mary Odili was the lead judge that presided over APC case in that particular suite.

Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa exempting herself from the panel because her husband,2 brothers and son are members of Apc,will not stop her ability to influence whatever happens in the case. Same with justice mary Odili. It is only a matter of integrity and choice,which is ''should I'' or ''should I not''

Mary Odili was not even included in the panel in the first place because the case has to do with Her Husband's Godson and also the state where Her husband is the Chieftain of the party..... Mary Odili was among the Panel that decide the Zamfara Governorship election between Yari (APC) VS Shinkafi (PDP)...

Justice Odili exempted herself from a case between apc and pdp in the cited case all because her husband is a member of pdp. The same reason,by virtue of membership of apc,is been adduced to why justice zainab bulkachuwa should exempt herself from this case,also because her husband,son and brothers are members of apc. The question now is: did/will their exemption stopped/stop the outcome of both cases? Ex-gov peter odili was granted a perpetual injunction preventing his arrest or prosecution. I still believe he is the only Nigerian that has ever received such injunction in the history of this country!!! U don't need to be a member to be able to influence a case in Nigeria. It can be the voice of jacob,but the hand of esau. Apc and pdp are bunches of comedians.

But What they are saying is that justice bulkachuwa should excuse herself because the husband is a member of APC. And some of us have asked whether Justice Mary Odili excused herself from all other PDP cases not necessarily because of her state, but because her husband has been a member of PDP. so this write up does not suffice in this aguement unless they are saying that justice bulkachuwa is buhari's relation or that the woman hails from the same state with buhari.

So my worry here is whether justice bulkachuwa is from the same state or is related with buhari. If not, then this controversy is not necessary.
