It can't happen in Nigeria cos l know in Aso Villa they use generator set, so presidency won't even know when there is power outage.

you are absolutely right!!! when you read the comments on this forum in general, you can tell there is absolutely no hope for nigeria... the people there cannot reason and don't have the common sense to do things the right way!
Right and so wrong... Right: the people have a small part to play... Wrong: If the leaders are ready to truly lead, the people will toe the line...

Check the quality of leaders U.S has had in history, and compare to the monsters that have led this nation in over 50 years... Cut out the inferiority complex, and call a spade a spade.

Are the leaders not cut from the same cloth as the citizens of Nigeria? The Leadership in Nigeria is a direct product of Nigeria's culture, way of life, education or lack of. Think about it...you cannot plant a corn corn and expect to reap something else. Sorry to disappoint you, there is no inferiority complex here and i am doing exactly what you said...calling a spade a spade. Nigeria is almost beyond repair....It will take more than a strong leader with ideology and integrity to fix the issues. Nigerian society is bankrupt to the core at every level, trust me i wish it were not so because i know there are many many good Nigerians around the world.

So this government should now sack Atiku instead of the rocket science lawyer scientist that is the current minister of power?

Deflating and Digressing from the real issue has always being the modus operandi of subjective minds in Nigeria.

So, the over 200 million citizens should do what? Commit mass suicide?... Change must begin from somewhere. Even U.S had her fair share of terrible setbacks in the course of getting to this stage.

A lot of countries were at a point of no return till few individuals stepped up to change things... The reality on ground is that only good leadership can steer this nation in the right direction... Nigerians need that urgently. We had a glimpse of that in Yar'Adua (God bless his memory), Obj also tried.

At the heart of the matter, Americans are not innately better than Nigerians... They have only be more privileged to have had good leaders that created a working system over the course of history. Nigerians, especially those born since the early to late eighties, have simply been less fortunate to have had their future raped and plundered by opportuned leaders.

In summary, a minister was sacked because of an 8 hour blackout in a day in Zimbabwe .

This is funny. In some parts of Nigeria we have an accumulated 5days blackout in a week
5 days or 5 years? cool

If you relocate the whole of USA to Nigeria, and move ALL Nigerians to the US. The level of development in Nigeria would surpase that of the US in less than 20 years. It's not the country, it's the people!

Hmmm...and you sit, your houses literally float on millions of tons of hydrocarbons...the only light you see is from the blow out stacks flaring gass endlessly and when it rains the soot comes falling down. You are like a man in the famous igbo proverb who lives by the river yet washes his hands with spittle. Then when you want to fetch some in a calabash to survive, the almighty government shuts you down with venom.

And we say this is a normal and acceptable way to live.....?

D region is already fvked. Politics have blinded even those in charge, ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION COMPANY's have politicized d system. We just have to rely on generators, which at d end d running cost is way expensive.

Its jst funny how dis matter remains the same from my childhood. undecided
