The Apex Igbo socio-political organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo on Saturday lambasted the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi for saying the South East can’t produce President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor in 2023.


Deputy National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze, Chuks Ibegbu in an interview said Amaechi is not God as such can’t decide the political future of the region.

Amaechi had asserted that the South East can’t demand for the presidency in 2023 because the region failed to vote for Buhari in the just concluded presidential election.

Let me ask you a question. Why do you keep using your business to destroy another man's business?

Is like this Ohaneze has nothing better to do who in his right mind takes Amaechi seriously??

Anyone tell them the truth shall be tag as their enemy. Ohanaze should commend Amaech for the brilliant interview.

Is like this Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo don't read full story of any paper rather read only headlines that is deceive people by the newspaper houses or blogs.

I read the full news Amaechi said Igbo might not have something to bargain with come 2023 because they didn't vote APC.

Amaechi said people like him that will make case for Igbo president in APC and to Buhari what will they table to convince others in terms of voting APC in 2019 election.

It seems this Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo brain are programmed as long as you say something about Igbos and you belong to APC be rest assured that you'll be quoted out of context.

Have anyone notice that since Asari Dokubo called Igbos slaves of Ijaws, Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo have not made any statement in cautioning Asari Dokubo or even react for reacting sake.

But let someone in APC say something about Igbos that is not deregatory just like Amaechi said something that has no offence but Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo has taken offence

These people hatred for APC is something else, to the extent they never saw how bad Abia is been governed by Okezie Ikpeazu of PDP but saw something bad about Okorocha of Imo because he's in APC.

In terms of governance can any righful thinking person compare Imo with Abia or compare Okorocha with Ikpeazu in terms of service delivery and infrastructure.

If Okorocha were to be in PDP Igbos would have used him as their poster boy in terms of service delivery and infrastructure to spite or compare with South-West governors.

When Ortom of Benue was in APC the Igbos tagged him the worst governor in history of Nigeria because of non payment of salary and lack of infrastructural development but the moment Ortom decamped to PDP the story changed and they forgot Ortom has not been paying salaries and not building infrastructure, he became man of the moment for them.
