I don't think there are more than 4 states in Nigeria more industrialized than Anambra and Abia what the east lacks is the infrastructure like Gas and enough electricity to power more industrialization.
Can you imagine the only international airport in the east is about being closed down with out an alternate route.
The gas masterplan excluded the east, the east was also excluded from the rail network. But easterners are not relenting

The industries in the SE are not few but there would have been much more if the SE did not have the worst infrastructure in Nigeria. Worst roads, undeveloped ports and bad power. Infrastructure is one of the main determinants of the location of industries

Quit sounding like a buffoon and point out specifically which parts of Kettykins’ post you have a problem with!

Is it his assertion that he doesn’t think there are more than four states in the country more industrialised than Anambra and Abia? Is that what’s eating you up? What’s ‘boastful’ about that? Oya mention five states more industrialised than the two south-east states...i’m waiting!

Do Igbos boast more than the Yoruba or Fulani?

Anambra is not overhyped and Abia is not cursed..

The busiest Market in West Africa is in Anambra.

Ariaria market in Aba, Abia State is the China of Africa, home to domestic made goods. This is where a lot of product replicas are made and sold. The market also has a segment for manufacturing only, where a range of stuff is hand-made.... In fact in UAE, Sharjah to be precise before the R&S building towards Safeer Supermarkets, those clothing Supermarkets there all sell Aba made products!!

Anambra is not overhyped nor is Abia State overhyped!!

If you are talking of multi national companies, only a few exist in the east.

But if you are talking of small companies, the east has them more than any other part of the country.

Yes the same Abia that produced the best jambite and the second best, the same abia state and Anambra that has produced the best waec results for more than 10 years , the same Anambra whose students defeated the best of the world in california, the same Anambra that has the only privately owned auto plant in Africa, the Abia that has the largest shoe cluster in Africa, the same abia that has the largest SME cluster in Africa. The same Anambra that has the largest automobile cluster in Africa. The Anambra that has the largest market cluster in Africa . My weed supplier is google.com

The largest market for goods and services in Nigeria is Lagos, hence the economic capital of Nigeria and the 5ht largest economy in Africa.

I know what you meant and why it's always a bragging phrase in that part of Nigeria, but you misused that term because it's not the largest market in West Africa.

Onitsha market is the largest in West Africa if not Africa

Onitsha market is bigger than lagos market, the only thing lagos has is official population and sea ports

Onitsha Market is the largest market in Africa based on geographical size and volume of goods.[1] It is based in the city of Onitsha, the commercial capital of Anambra State in southeastern Nigeria and governed by one of the most revered traders associations on the continent, the Onitsha Market Traders Association (OMATA). Most of the major import merchants from Eastern Nigeria have their head offices within the market. The average traders in the area are known to bring in at least six consignments of 40 tonnes (40-feet containers) of goods annually. Some of the major importers do more than 200 consignments of 40 tonnes of goods per year. These include jewelry, clothing, household, industrial and office equipment.

It is bounded by the River Niger to the West and Fegge through Osumaru Road from the East. The market is secured by the Onitsha Main Market Vigilante Services working under the auspices of the Nigeria Police Force. The market can rightfully be described as the commercial power house of West Africa. It is massively patronized by merchants in the ECOWAS sub-region including Accra, Abidjan, Douala, Niameyand Cotonou and various other parts of the continent, to mention a few.

Wikipedia is your source of superior education? I'll try not to question your education and mental capacity.

What is the size of the Economy in Anambra since the have the largest market and volume in the whole of West Africa.?

How do you support that claim with the economic facts and realities in the ground on a poor state with meagre IGR.

Largest market with the largest volume means the largest economy which Anambra is not.

Now kiddo, Economy doesn't just revolve around Markets.. But you need to get back and learn that! I won't be the one to teach cuz you didn't pay me..

I brought out Wikipedia to show you because kids (vibrant ones) use Wikipedia to check records that they don't seem to understand properly..

Now if you know of any Market in and around Lagos that is bigger, larger and busier than Onitsha Main Market, kindly present it with proof... Since you failed to learn it, I had to show you what and how it's stated on Wikipedia.

Onitsha has the largest market not largest economy in Africa , lagos economy is partly driven by the banking sector, telecommunications sector, maritime sector oil and gas sector which explains why lagos economy is bigger than onitsha but as long as retail business is concerned onitsha has the largest retail business in Africa servicing west Africa and the whole nation

I tell you, some of the argument in nairaland.com can be so amusing some times when you clearly see how funny and bereft of facts some people's argument can be. People are willing try to uproot the fact that has been their before even they were born.
