The one reason why I think Ferguson is the greatest manager is the fact that he coached teams who reached the peak of their powers, faded out and from the scratch he rebuilt again and took them to the peak. You wonder why Pep, Mou and Klopp don't continue on their job after winning the UCL? They know how difficult it is to maintain that level especially when the key cog of the team is past it. Look at Zidane at Madrid, after the Era of dominance, he is struggling with almost the same team he used to win the UCL 3 times in a row because Ronaldo isn't there and the rest are aging fast.
Fergie oversaw different greats sides over the course of his reign, something I don't see Pep, Mou or any of the other modern coaches doing.

What exactly did Chelsea and Arsenal have to play for? Spurs only focused on the UCL cos they couldn't keep pace with the league but we should not hear word.
