My gateman just killed this snake!!! Trying to make hes way through my window; please can anyone help me identify the name of this snake?

This is exactly the kind of snake I stepped on while walking on a bushy path sometime ago.
I felt something moved under my feet and as I looked down . Alas! It was a big snake!
I ran like Say tomorrow no dy . That day ehn !
