I would say the man has delivered on expectations and should be kept, but apparently the board say he is powerless in the dressing room since that Kepa incident hence they want a change, and the opportunity to earn some money from other clubs for him. Overall though, I'm not convinced he is capable of blending in the youth given his track record of only coaching and using the same 11 players so he might not be the man needed for transfer ban season.

The manager getting one signing does not mean he should be satisfied. There may be 3 or 4 other positions where they asked him to make do with scraps, besides Morata was a young boy you might want for squad position knowing you have Mandzukic to carry the main load.

Conte did not get a single first choice signing at Chelsea except Kante.

In some clubs, the DOF role is a chance for the President to abrogate power unto themselves.

Spanish clubs especially, where their President is elected and like to make noise about which players they signed/will sign in order to win elections.

Bayern have 3 old men who would like to think themselves knowledgeable but they give Salihamidzic some powers. They're the ones who told us Salihamidzic is crazy about Hudson-Odoi
