Air Peace make sure you are competing with Etihad Airways, British Airways cool
You’re right! But you know their gov’ts give them a lot of support and protection! What worries me in the case of Air Peace is the toxic Nigerian business environment...coupled with a gov’t that isn’t giving it the necessary support and protection the gov’ts of British Airways and Etihad give them!

Firstly, Oyema has really done well, he needs the same level of protection Dangote gets.

There are routes which are like cash-cows for some countries and hence the Sharjah option as the UAE are fighting off competition for their national airlines, Etihad and the Emirates.

He raised an important complaint that should be seriously looked into: Charges.

The principle of reciprocity should apply and no preferential treatment should be given.

Most importantly, the Government in the absence of a National Carrier should adopt "Nigeria First Policy" and hence seek to protect Air Peace from unreasonable charges in countries they fly to, otherwise ask for same treatment and impose the same charges on their airlines here in Nigeria until their stance are changed and take Nigeria and Nigerian businesses seriously.

Kudos to Oyema and his team, and hope to see Air Peace grace the International air spaces of these country, this is indeed a triumph for home grown business and a celebration of Nigerian brand as it gives one a sense of pride outside the country to see one of own airlines as a viable option home.

Congratulations.
Dubai should have come first before Shajar, and Guangzhou also first.
Those are highly lucrative routes.
I pray they sustain the tempo of success and not crash out like Arik.
What is the difference between Dubai and sharjah ?Both are just like 2 cities in 1

Dubai to Shajar is about 30 minutes drive.

That's the area our govt is weak they lack the capacity to support and also create an enabling environment for airlines to thrive.

This is a welcome development. The exorbitant fees being charged by south african airways, kenya, rwanda and ethiopian airways are too much. Now namibian air has joined in charging a lot to fly to lagos from johannesburg. I have seen thatair peace's boeing 777 parked at murtala for the past one year now and i keep wondering when they are going to open joburg to lagos route. With a nigerian carrier flying directly to lagos from joburg, the other airlines will be forced to reduce their prices. Hope airpeace can compete regarding safety and on board services.
