The Governor of Bayelsa State, Henry Seriake Dickson has emerged the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum, Igbere TV can report.

Igbere TV reports that Dickson was declared winner in Abuja on Wednesday after the PDP governors met behind closed door for several hours, to deliberate who will be their next chairman.

Our correspondent observed that several popular bars in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital, were filled with supporters of the governor, celebrating his victory.

Dickson, who doubles as South-South PDP Governors forum Chairman, will exist the seat of power In Bayelsa State as the Chief Executive on the 14th of February, 2020 after successfully completing his second term in office.

Igbere TV reports that Dickson is the first in the history of Bayelsa State to successful complete a second term in office as Governor.

Nigerian politicians love useless officialdom and these days "forums" seem to be the rage - Governors' Forum, PDP Governors' Forum, APC Governors' Forum, Northern Governors' Forum, Southern Governors' Forum, South West/Odu'a Governor's Forum, South South Governors' Forum, South East Governors' Forum, First Timers NASS Forum (that was on Nairaland yesterday), Ex-PDP Ministers' Forum, Forum for Wives of Ondo State Officials (trust me, that's a real thing), etc., etc., with every Tunde, Dike and Haruna jostling to be a meaningless 'chairman'.

this tells us these whole criminals are not working for our interest but theirs. i don't know, but Nigeria is about the first country I know that governors are having an association (I stand to be corrected).
why the pdp forum or apc forum? every section and sector if the nation is just filled with division. selfish and individual interest everywhere. if at all these bunch of thieves need a union one is enough, why the union?
