Was really impressed with what I saw last week when I visited. The state is a huge construction site. Upon the completion of the international market, I'm sure more businesses will spring up because as things stands, Ebonyi still relies so much on neighboring states for basics.
For instance, a brand like gotv's inesplicable absence in the state is a pointer to the absence of key services in the state.
If I had the ears of the powers that be, I would suggest they consider towing a different trajectory to state development by investing in a legacy project like a world class ICT university. The presence of such institution will ignite tech start ups and creatives to take residence in the state and service the entire region.

Lalasticala... let’s show Ndi Ebonyi love biko. They have come a long way and they deserve it.

Umahi is really giving Abakaliki a facelift and in a couple of years it might be a major tourist destination if other tourist States slack one bit. The only major disadvantage is the location as it is not on any major national route though on an important Enugu-Bamenda transnational highway.

When I wrote Ebonyi is far developed than Akure, Osogbo, Ado Ekiti and Abeokuta, some ignorant minds will be doubting me, making silly noise over IGR with nothing to show for, these are states I had travelled to, ignorant minds will be calling them Gala hawkers, Ebonyians are very hard working people within space of few years they've bridged major gaps in, infrastructures, education, they are top ten in WAEC, they are fast climbing human Development Index, in 2016 students from Ebonyi state won national debate and they represented Nigeria in Indonesia. That's why is not good to mock people, just the way Nigerians were mocking Ghanaians in 80s, today Ghana is doing credibly well. Who could imagine Ebonyi students will win National debate even represent Nigeria in international level But they did, state with lowest revenue doing far better than those with high IGR

I said it before. Dave Umahi is the best governor in the South, if not in Nigeria today. If he continues this way, Abakiliki city will be the best city in the SE in the coming years...but a weak man like the one of Enugu, will succeed him after his two terms and everything will go on a downward spiral. Ebony budget is the lowest in the south.

Because it's not negative news bigots could use to try and mocks us with!

Commendable effort going on in the state. I know it's still a construction site, but why the hell can't they start planting trees where work is rounding up and about to be finished? The major streets of the state need to be lined with trees for heavens sakes! You find this absence of trees in ALL of our cities in the south-east and i don't know why this is the case!

Ebonyi has a major advantage over other south east states. Abundance of raw materials for construction and later development.

With later development, it gives them the opportunity to plan their city (Abakaliki) better to reflect modern standards.

They are building mordern flyovers and highways in anticipation of future growth.
