OGHENAOGIE:The cohesion and love that Senegal indigenous coach has brought to the Teranga Lions is something only Clemens Westerhof can match. That guy is a genius and I will support the Teranga Lions because of him. |

Amaju pinnick is a fraud. He employed fraud white coaches for our senior national teams. How in the name of God you will go to a tournament with five defenders? These white coaches are taking us Nigerians for fools, that's why the other one rohr select a team for afcon without no goalkeepers. Well, still wishing all our teams the best in their respective tournament's. |

For those of you ranting about the presence of only 5 defenders, there is nothing to fear. Nwabuoku, one of the players listed as a midfielder, can also deputize in defense if the need arises. Although she is a midfielder, she played admirably well in central defense at the last WAFU tournament. |

JasonScoolari:Sorry mate, your “country” worships their slave masters, from answering still the name Nigger Area (Nigeria) to the hiring of quack Europeans that cant even get hired coaching their own countries at millions of naira per month. None of those African teams are going to do anything in the World Cup except sing their anthem in a European language, have a European oga as coach for the world to see, and then lose woefully to European women in front of yet again the world..... And tomorrow we will be begging for money or aid from World Bank or China....yet tomorrow our gehs will continue to spend on Indian weaves and dance to Rihanna while their culture and way of life dies...... Shame |

![]() There's always criticism when the final list of players that will play at a tournament is released. Fans always want their favourite player to be on the team and some players believe that the coach hates them and that's why they were not selected. The truth is that only 23 players can be selected and other players must be dropped. In Nigeria we have too many very good forward players and the coach would always have been criticised, no matter who was dropped. And that's why some fans are complaining that their favourite players (Courtney Dike, Ini Umotong, Sophia Omidiji, etc.) were dropped. This is also the case in South Africa. Many people, including former Banyana Banyana player Amanda Dlamini, are upset that Nyandeni Mpumi was dropped from the team. You can see the reaction of Mpumi in the fourth screenshot.

The controversy in Cameroon is due to the selection of Gaelle Enganamouit. Enganamouit is the 2015 African player of the year. She was also the highest goal scorer in the Swedish league in 2015 and she is the first African woman to score a hat-trick at the World Cup. She was also nominated for the 2015 BBC Women's Player of the Year and she scored one of the fastest goals in women's football history when she was playing in the Serbian league. Unfortunately she suffered an ACL injury at the beginning of the 2016 season and that effectively ruled her out for the rest of the season. However, Cameroon hosted the 2016 African Women's Nations Cup and the Cameroonians were desperate to get their star back in time for the competition. Enganamouit did not score a single goal at the 2016 Nations Cup (though she did act as a decoy for other players because defenders paid close attention to her). She was signed by Dalian for the 2017 season, along with Asisat Oshoala. While Oshoala enjoyed a great season with Dalian and became the highest goal scorer in the Chinese league, Enganamouit spent more time on the doctor's table than on the pitch. She eventually left Dalian at the end of the 2017 season, without scoring a single goal and moved to Norway. She scored 4 goals in the 2018 Norwegian season and also scored a goal at the 2018 African Women's Nations Cup. Unfortunately she missed a penalty in the semi-final against Nigeria and Cameroonian fans vandalised her house. She moved to Malaga in Spain in 2019, but she also had injury problems there and ended up leaving the club after a few months. She is currently clubless and some Cameroonians wonder if it was a wise decision to include her in the World Cup team. The highest goal scorer in the Cameroonian league was dropped from the team.

Francesca Ordega-----I love her game anytime, any day ,,,she should keep running at defenders Desire Oparanozie ------- The Didier Drogba of the team, her power play is second to none.Forget her big build, she is so soft spoken and the she speaks the best and most fluent English in the team |

Watch out for Onome Ebi and Ordega. I hope Oshola will not disappoint this time, she did not play well during last AWCON and Barca women's team lost their final match where she played. Players like Rashidat are upcoming, they should be substitutes for now. Good luck, I want to buy Falcon Jercy, where can I get one? for Ordega, my crush |

peacengine:They had two captains. Onome Ebi was the captain (she's the oldest in the team). She got injured and Rita Chikwelu acted as the captain. We had two captains when she came back from injury, Onome Ebi and Rita Chikwelu. They both lifted the trophy when Nigeria won the 2018 AWCON. However, almost two weeks ago, Thomas Dennerby made Desire Oparanozie the sole captain. |
