He promised to pay deduction before may 29th and is being paid, go and ask, it shows that you are supporting OGD because you benefited from his Government,
neither Amosun or OGD has done anything to earn my support, but let be realistic, Amosun has done better than OGD and Osoba,
tunjibadosnen:
from your comment, it shows you know nothing about Ogun State, "OGB" instead of OGD
secondly, OGD employed and put food on the table of many people (myself and my wife are living witness), he employed over 20,000 unemployed into the main stream of Ogun state work force, human resources and welfare were part of his program, and many more
Irokunle as fondly called destroyed many lives, lack workers welfare, no employment, and upon all engaged in sentimental and partial development: resources meant for the three senatorial district that made up Ogun was used to develop Abeokuta,
Yes, increase in IGR, but how did that translate to people's welfare, workers are owed deductions, some did not receive salaries, pensions not paid.... then the multiplier effect on Ogun citizens is zero

many sin of Amosun shall soon be uncovered, watch out

Pistotita:
Ogun has been unfortunate with their leaders. Amosun is not as good as people who visited only Abeokuta think. He focused on infrastructure only in Abeokuta, and ignored other places. Ogun is too big than only Abeokuta. Other places are mad with this man. Why did Dangote moved his refinery to Lagos? Is it not Ogun that was his first interest? He made so many blunders with cheap bridges in the state. Ijebu Ode and other Ijebus are failed areas. As early as 8pm, ijebu ode is already in darkness. The markets there are still ancients. Which business opportunities or investors want to go to Ogun? This man is a joke. People live in Ogun because of its clossness to Lagos. Go to EPE, as soon as you reach Byebye Lagos, you are entering pot holes. I have nothing much to say about this man. He has so many opportunuties but he wasted too many.

The next 4 years in Ogun will be better with collaboration with Lagos. This is the main area he failed because of personal beef with Jagaban, but he has been defeated. Now, Ogun is under the care of Osinbajo. It was why it pained him. He had too many good opportunities but he deliberately ignore them all. Ogun is just a part of Lagos. So, Ogun and Lagos governors must be friends. This guy isolated Ogun cos of his foolish way of thinking and pride. And he eventually lost out.

Which security is this man talking about. Go to other places in Ogun and see. Is it Abeokuta that should be the yardstick to measure the while of Ogun? This man messed up big time too. Most other places are dens of ritualists. You better be careful in the Ijebu lands. Which security did he give them?
From your assertions, it shows that you're a pained ijebu man. I guess you've been teleported to the future to know exactly what would have happened in the next 4 years abi. Osoba left IGR at 350m. Daniel spent 8 years and all the magic he could do was doubled the IGR to 700m. Your "enemy" amosun took the same IGR to 7bn for the exact same 8 years daniel used and you're hear ranting like a baby. I guess you won't tell the whole world the 2 flyovers amosun did at ijebu ode and 1 at sagamu, with another uncompleted one at ijebu igbo. I highlighted these areas because it shows that the only enemies amosun have in ogun state are the ijebus which clearly shows you're one of them. Now that one of your own have been elected, let him turn ijebu to Dubai. I don't have your time this morning.

Nigeria will not cease to amaze me. When he finished first term, he did not complain about failed state o. It's now that he has almost finished the second that ogaun state had failed under gbenga Daniel. So since 2011, u can pick up that state and renovate it to make it rise again. I don't think there would be one naira left in that state's account when this man leaves that position. I pity the people of that state.

I laugh when I see people call this long cap scammer the best governor of Ogun State....

I don't know if the definition of economic viability is now roads and bridges in some selected parts of the state. Or perhaps strangling companies in the name of tax. I personally know some businesses that packed up because they couldn't afford to pay the exorbitant tax.

This clown inherited a working power plant project from OGD that was already serving Ibara and it's environs. They were about extending it to Onikolobo before Daniel's tenure ended but this man came and abandoned the project and let it waste away before he sold the rest to Day waterman school.
If he had continued that project, at least a significant part of Abeokuta South would be enjoying the benefits of the project today but no, he prefers littering the state with uncompleted road projects.

This man rendered the water corporation redundant. Even in Abeokuta, you see people carrying kegs and basins up and down as the water corporation was virtually dead.

Talk to his ignorant fans and they will tell you he build bridges and roads yet most of the internal roads network are still shitty as at today. Aside the fact that he got kickbacks and the compensation money from the FG ( major reason he's vexing that Akinlade won't be replacing him is because the FG is still owing him some money for some federal roads he built).
The thank you gift the CCECC gave him and his brother is right there in Ibara GRA.

And Someone will open his mouth to say this crook is the best governor indeed.

This dude spent 8 years with nothing to show for it except unmotorable uncompleted bridges littered all over the state. Most useless governor since the creation of Ogun state. He makes mediocre governors like OGD and Osoba look like geniuses.
He did a lot inside Abeokuta, in fact he virtually transformed the town.

But he deliberately neglected those border areas that are more or less suburbs of Lagos, out of spite probably. He left those communities worse off than he met them by ruining the few basic roads they had before sad

Best governor so far in Ogun State.i respect is courage if you know you know.active development was is no 1 choice in Ogun State.
Abdulazeez99:
The out-going governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun says that Gbenga Daniel, his predecessor, handed over ‘a failed state’ to him in 2011, Igbere Tv reports.

He alleged that Gbenga Daniel handed over a state that was characterised by poor economy, deplorable infrastructure and insecurity, which prevented investors from investing in the state.

Amosun, who was represented by Taiwo Adeoluwa, secretary to the state government, spoke at a press conference to launch Ogun State Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency. He said unlike him, Dapo Abiodun, governor-elect of the state, will inherit an economically viable state.

He mentioned some of the achievements of his administration to include increasing the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the state and improving the ease of doing business in the state.

He said; “When we came in 2011, Ogun State appeared to have failed as a State. Investors were running away from the State because of the high level of insecurity in the State but today, the State is ranked 4th on the list of State with the ease of doing business.

As at the last count, our activities as a government has attracted 473 mega companies which some investing as much as N2billion. Not only that, we took the IGR of the State from the paltry sum of N700million to N7billion per month. But we are not relenting on all these achievements.

We know we have been very successful, but we need to consolidate on the success we have achieved and that is why we are establishing this agency." Igbere Tv reports.

Amosun will return to the senate after winning his bid to represent Ogun central senatorial district.

Amosun saying that Gbenga Daniel, handed over ‘a failed state’ to him in 2011, and for 8 good years no single recorded achievement for the state .

If Gbenga Daniel handed over a state that was characterised with poor economy, deplorable infrastructure and insecurity, which prevented investors from investing in the state, what and what did u do to salvage the situation. NOTHING BUT TO STEAL MONEY FOR SELFISH INTEREST.

LOL How old I am from posts, dey there naw

I was there during even the days of gbemu aremu, Osoba and co and trust me, I know first hand how Abeokuta used to be, like a freaking dump, nothing like a state capital (not like its entirely 100% now but it will get there)

OkeIlewo was the only 'trying' place and even at that , it was pretty shit

Osoba and Daniel were colossal failures, OGD was just like the father of thugs. Obasanjo neglected abeokuta like it didnt exist even though he went back to abeokuta after prison ( i used to see him playing Ayo olopon close to AFROGRAMS)

I am not saying Amosun is perfect in any way, but he tried when compared to the moronic others. ( and i dont even like amosun too)

Yeah just some parts are good, Laderin , Isale Ake, Housing, Oke Ilewo environs

Oluwo, Car Wash, Obantoko are pretty bad for some reason I dont know .. If only state govs could make some moves and get on solar projects, provide 300 MW for ogun state and slowly leave the National Grid

It is very unfortunate how easily we forget history.

When Daniel came to power he focused on Employment, Sport, Education and maintenance of existing infrastructures (OGROMA was maintaining our roads, even if not perfectly).

Amosun came and focused on infrastructural Development (he did well), while making sure that sport has no place, he did not employ teachers (no level 8 officer in the teaching service today, between now and end of the term 14 principals will be retiring). All we had were shadow employment . How do we maintain the big road if there is no viable maintenance agency.

Daniel built great politicians to take over from him (The commission of sport, finance, health, late Maria Sokenu, Titi Oseni, GNI). They all came to prominence during his time. He whom Amosun built he also destroyed (Kemi Adeosun comes to mind).

Re: 'I Inherited A Failed State' - Outgoing Governor, Amosun Says by chinchum(m): 10:41am On May 25, 2019
My number one indices to rank a Governor is one who can greatly increase the IGR of the state. If truly he increased an iGR from 700 million to 7 billion Naira in 8 years, the he is a success ! A 900 % increase in a state IGR within 8 years is no mean feat. Most Governors are lazy and can not improve the earnings of their state.
