Sentiment or tribe apart, tinubu is treading d paths of afonja and he's already in tight corner where it might be difficult for him to right the wrongs. If tinubu survive 2023 election then i will believe he's truly jagaban of politics in africa but i don't see him going anywhere. I recommend to him the biography of Shehu Musa Yar’adua, titled ‘A Life of Service’, and written by Miss Jacqueline Farris.

In that book, he will read that the late Chief MKO Abiola was a political sacrifice by the Northern political elite of the Social Democratic Party, led by the late Tafida of Katsina (Shehu Musa Yar’adua) who knew beforehand (from intuition, not conspiracy) that General Babangida was going to annul the June 12, 1993 elections and only decided to support Chief MKO Abiola so that they could use Babangida to destroy Abiola and use Abiola to destroy Babangida, leaving the coast clear for them.

As a matter of fact, when prominent politicians asked Shehu Yar’adua why he was supporting Chief Abiola, he responded by saying that if he supported a Northerner, the Northerner would win, but Babangida would annul the election and the North would accept it because they were both Northerners. But if he supported a Southerner, like Abiola, when Babangida annulled the election, the South would rise up against him and he (Shehu Yar’adua) and his movement, will support the South and in one fell swoop, they will be rid of both Babangida and Abiola.

Let us face the truth, the North is by far more politically sophisticated than the South of Nigeria. Only one Southerner, to my knowledge, has been able to outflank the North, and that is former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Bola Tinubu does not have what it takes. There were three or four politicians in Kaduna that you could not become anything unless you had them on your side. But let us come back to reality. Let us face the present. All over Nigeria, and also in the Southwest, herdsmen of Fulani heritage have been killing Nigerians without the Buhari administration doing anything tangible to stop them or bring them to justice.

Almost everyone has been afraid to speak up and hold the Buhari government to account. That is until Obasanjo spoke on the matter on May 19, 2019 when he slammed the Buhari administration and said that the herdsmen and Boko Haram killings are “no longer an issue of lack of education and lack of employment for our youths in Nigeria which it began as, it is now West African fulanization, African Islamization”.

Four days later, Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, put aside his well-known animus for former President Olusegun Obasanjo, to agree with him on his comments on herdsmen and Boko Haram and their Islamisation agenda, and condemned the Buhari government.
That took courage! The type of courage that Bola Tinubu, sadly, does not have. What is Tinubu doing as herdsmen kill his people? He is licking the boots of the Grand Patron. Igbo man say tufiakwa!

He accused Tinubu of being a coward for not replying El-Rufai.....But the truth is that Tinubu seldom reply criticisms.... From Bafarawa, Fayose, Oyinlola, Bode George, Gbenga Daniel, baba Ayo Adebanjo, Mimiko to Ali Modu Sheriff, I have never seen Tinubu exchanging words with his political rivals...Bode George's case was even worst because he wouldn't complete two sentences without punctuating it with Tinubu's name...Apart from occasional attacks from Tinubu's loyalists, I haven't seen where Tinubu has ever called out Bode for his contrary political views...

That Yar'adua backed Abiola because he knew that Abiola would be in a better position to fight the military?...And what's new about this...Yar'adua wanted to contest before IBB decided to cancel the elections and postpone the transition programme again....Saying that Abiola was allowed to contest just because Yar'adua saw him as a tool to play the Army is incredulous....Reno Omokri is talking about Yar'adua's book even though we all knew what happened at the Jos Convention of the SDP and the roles played by other political titans. The same Yar'adua was eventually consumed by the whole crisis......So, who sacrificed who?

That Obj is the only person capable of catching the North at their game... Seems Reno Omokri doesn't even know the history of Nigeria and Yorubaland, in particular...Abiola decided to die with his mandate because of the Mandela Example and because he was the Aare Ona Kakanfo, who was expected not to return from a battle in defeat...If Abiola wanted it, he could have negotiated his mandate away and probably remain the richest man in Africa till today. Many offers were made to him which he declined..If he had taken such offers, idiots like Omokri would have called Abiola and his family cowards, just like he is doing to someone who just happened to belong to a different political party. The same Obj has always been a willing slave to the North..Obj ran away when Murtala was killed...It behoved on Generals Akinrinade and Alabi-Isama to confront Yar'adua and co in order for the next most senior military officer to be made the President...Obj had to hand over quickly because he knew the power arrangement didn't favour him and they even had to postpone the transition programme initiated by Murtala.
..Obj handed over to Shagari even though he knew that the election was flawed.....Is Obj not a Northern stooge?...Obj was clamped into jail...Escaped the hangman by the grace of God, rehabilitated by his Northern masters, and made the President...Has he not been a willing Northern slave over the years...? Did Obj confront Northern govs over Sharia?....Did he not hand over to another Northerner in 2007, even while the whole South said that power should stay in the South for more years?....Whether Obj reply insults publicly or not, he is a willing slave of the North...

As for Omokri's claim of Tinubu being defeated by Atiku or any Northern candidate.. I see it as infantile rants...We are still in 2019 and idiots like Omokri are already discussing who will win in 2023....
